First Indian Bride Who Married To Herself In An Intimate Wedding, Puts 'Sindoor' On Her Own

An Indian wedding is full of rituals and traditions. It is a union of two souls and two families, who come together and promise to be part of each other's happiness. However, we witnessed India's first wedding, wherein the bride got married to herself. Yes, there was no groom, no priest, but a promise to never leve her own hand. The bride is a perfect example of being in love with your own self.

For the unversed, the 24-year-old, Kshma Bindu lives in Vadodra, Gujarat. The young girl had made a promise to herself not to leave her hand, and she kept it by tying the knot in an intimate wedding on her own. Her 40-minuted long wedding included all the Indian rituals and it was beautifully shot by the photographers of Epic Stories.

On June 8, 2022, Kshama got married to her own self in India's first sologamy. The bride wore a gorgeous red lehenga and looked the prettiest. She accessorised her look with a golden neckpiece, matching earrings, a nath and a mathapatti. The bride kept her makeup minimal and accentuated it with bindis like the old times.

For her mehendi ceremony, the bride had donned a green-coloured kurta with a sleeveless jacket over it. She had posted pictures of the ceremony, which was attended by her friends. Instead of putting her groom's name on her mehendi, Kshama dedicated it to herself. She included a quote in her mehendi, which reads, 'Just a girl who care enough to try.'

For her haldi ceremony, the bride had donned a yellow-coloured saree with a red-hued blouse. She had accessorised her look with a floral neckpiece, maang teeka, and matching bangles. She was looking adorable with her friends putting haldi on her. In an interview with The Times of India, Kshama had shared that the best part about her wedding is that she doesn't need to leave her home.

Earlier, Kshama was trolled for her decision of getting married, but now she is getting a lot of praise for her bold decision and free will.
