As 'Stranger Things Season 5' has come to an end, actor, Finn Wolfhard gave a hint about his next role in a hit show.
As the final season of Stranger Things has come to an end, fans are still processing the emotional goodbye to their favourite characters and Hawkins. Among those much-loved characters is Finn Wolfhard, who played the role of 'Mike Wheeler'. He left a long-lasting impact on viewers. While viewers are waiting to see the cast of Stranger Things in new shows, Finn recently shared an exciting update about the same.
Recently, Finn Wolfhard had a candid conversation with Esquire, during which he opened up about his upcoming project. Finn revealed that he will probably be seen in the popular show, It: Welcome To Derry. For the unversed, the show is a prequel to the blockbuster film series, It, directed by Andres Muschietti. Talking about the same, Finn shared:
"When they first started thinking about that show, it was probably 2021. Barbara and Andy Muschietti both told me, 'You’re involved.' Yeah, I’m connected. I think there’s something else that will come up eventually that I’m excited for people to see."
For those who do not know, Finn Wolfhard plays the role of 'Richie Tozier' in the film franchise, It. He is one of the core members of Losers Club in the films. His character, 'Richie' is witty, talkative and funny. It is worth mentioning that he soon became a fan favourite with this role. In the prequel, It: Welcome to Derry, Finn does not appear physically; however, his presence is felt.
It is worth mentioning that the events taking place in the show are set decades before he was born. However, 'Pennywise', the dancing Clown reveals a wanted poster of 'Richie's' face to a character named 'Marge'. This suggested that 'Richie' will be the son of 'Marge' in future. This interesting detail ties the connection between the show and the actor, Finn.
In Stranger Things, Finn Wolfhard plays the role of 'Mike Wheeler', who is one of the main characters of the series. He is a smart and kind-hearted boy, who lives in Hawkins. He is described as the emotional core of his friend group. If you have been a Stranger Things fan, you know that since season 1, 'Mike' stands out as a leader. Over the five seasons, his character and its importance have grown a lot.
Now that the much-loved show is over, multiple fans are speculating the possibility of a Stranger Things spin-off. While there is no official update of a spin-off, a few fans found out an old interview of Finn, in which he had spoiled the plot of a possible spin-off three years ago. Finn Wolfhard was quoted as saying:
"Oh, they're all going to have us back in 20 years, we're all going to be fat and old and being like, 'Eleven, where are you?' you know, that kind of thing."

However, his breakthrough came with Netflix’s Stranger Things.
