Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping case is entering its third week, and till now, no suspect in this case has been found. Earlier, speculations were rife that Nancy's son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni could be a person of interest in this case. However, it turned out that the entire family had been cleared as suspects. Well, how could the Pima County Sheriff rule the family out as suspects? Experts recently revealed what led the Pima County Sheriff's Department to rule out Tommaso Cioni and other family members as suspects, as confirmed in a Page Six statement.
The family of Nancy Guthrie, including Savannah, Annie, Camron, Tommaso and Michael Feldman, have been cleared out as suspects. Well, the Sheriff's department certainly used some methods before ruling the family out. Recently, former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder told Page Six that the methods that could be used for the same are checking cell phone data, scanning license plate scanners, checking if any of the family members were caught on the camera and also alibiing all of them and their accounts of where they were at that evening.
Jason Pack, another retired FBI agent, revealed that the department might have the records of what they wanted to have, including alibis, phone records, financials, digital forensics and everything that they needed to know, which led them to clear the family out as suspects amid speculations being rife about Tommaso Cinoi. As per Jason Pack, Chris Nanos surely felt the need to come forward as he has been dealing with this case, which is about to enter its third week, and in this state, he had to step in to save the victim's family from any further harm that they might be getting due to the speculations around them.
On the other hand, another former FBI agent, Jonathan Gilliam, tagged the Sheriff's department, giving the family a clearance as a 'premature' decision. As per Jonathan, the sheriff might be an emotional person rather than being factual, while stating that no one can give anyone clearance amid the case going on, without knowing who was inside the home, when the kidnapping took place.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen by Tommaso, who drove her home after the family dinner. However, following this, Nancy was missing. The entire case happened between January 31, 2026, and February 1, 2026, and a search mission has been going on since then.
No suspect has been found so far, and as per several reports, high technologies are being used to track Nancy, and one of them is a high-tech Bluetooth device that can track Nancy's pacemaker. For the unversed, Nancy has a fragile heart, as per Savannah Guthrie, and the department believes that the former is alive till now. To mention, several ransom notes were shared, asking for a million dollars in Bitcoin, and as per a report by TMZ, a fourth ransom note has recently been shared.
