'Euphoria' Season 3 Episode 5 was just released, and it has given fans some major hints about what's to come in the upcoming episode.
Euphoria Season 3 Episode 5 was released on HBO on May 10, 2026 (ET). The episode titled The Little Piggy ends with 'Rue Bennet', essayed by Zendaya, once again in trouble and at the twisted mercy of 'Alamo Brown', essayed by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Raising questions about the future of 'Rue' and how it could change the storyline of the upcoming episodes.
So, as fans wait for the future episodes to be released, let's take a quick look at what happened in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 5 and what it means for Episode 6. Warning: Spoilers ahead!
For many seasons, Euphoria has been making headlines for its intense plot. However, it's fair to say that Season 3 has crossed all lines, especially with the impending showdown between 'Laurie' and 'Alamo Brown', which has been looming for a while now. Now, it feels like it could explode at any moment. However, another thing that fans have an eye out for is how 'Rue' could easily get caught in the crossfire of their clash. With how the show has been progressing, it's only a matter of time before it delivers something big for Zendaya, thanks largely to her remaining the show's biggest star. Nonetheless, it still feels like creator Sam Levinson has been cagey about delivering the overall goods here.
On the other hand, 'Cassie' is all set to try and do whatever she can to make it in the industry, even if that means not knowing what some of the jobs will bring to her newlywed life. There are a few teases for Jules’ next chapter, and yet, she remains the show’s most under-utilised major character. However, the biggest parts of this season remain a series of extreme anecdotes, with little continuity in the middle. Usually, these smaller pieces of larger arcs bring characters together, but right now it seems like no one is making any progress.
After 'Magick' (Rosalía) and 'Bishop' (Darrell Britt-Gibson) raise their concerns about 'Rue's' loyalty, the HBO hit's narrator is driven to the middle of 'Alamo's' ranch and told to dig a hole, only for her to be buried up to her head in it. The episode ends with 'Alamo' riding in on his horse with a polo club, ready to pulverise 'Rue's' skull. However, will he claim her life, or is there another twist waiting to happen?
'Alamo' only learns about this lucrative career opportunity because when he corners 'Rue' at a diner, she is catching up with a friend and OnlyFans manager, 'Maddy Perez' (Alexa Demie). Much of this week's episode details how 'Maddy' has successfully propelled 'Cassie' (Sydney Sweeney) to major heights. However, once 'Rue' leaves with 'G' (Marshawn Lynch) and 'Bishop', 'Alamo' keeps 'Maddy' company. The two find common ground in their parallel businesses, brokering sex. The episode shows how 'Alamo' has agreed to do business with 'Alamo', choosing 'Magick' and 'Kitty' as her two new favourite girls. However, how does that impact the fate of 'Rue'? The answer to that is in how Episode 5 ended.
Euphoria Season 3 Episode 5, titled This Little Piggy ends with 'Alamo' swinging his polo stick, 'Rue' flinching in fear, and the screen cutting to black. While she is not in the teaser for next week's episode, fans are certain that she will pull through, in part because Zendaya is the star and executive producer of Euphoria, which somewhat guarantees she will make it to the series finale.
Additionally, in a conversation with Decider, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje also reflected on the scenes in this week's episode and revealed that 'Alamo' is impressed by what 'Maddy' has to offer. Adewale points out it is a new time for someone of 'Alamo's' generation, which means there will be a lot that both of them will learn from each other. Adewale was quoted as saying:
"It’s a new era for him as someone from the older generation. So they’re both teaching each other, you know, traits from their generation. He’s teaching her traditions and the old school, and they’re teaching him this new frontier through social media and how that can really propel his empire. So he’s really intrigued by that, and to be quite honest, it's probably the main reason Rue survives. Yeah, because she’s useful. So he’s really intrigued by that, and to be quite honest, is probably the main reason Rue survives… Yeah, because she’s useful."
It's also worth noting that during their drive to Silver Slipper, 'Alamo' asks 'Maddy' about 'Rue' and whether she trusts her, to which 'Maddy' says, "She’s a little crazy, but she’s got a good heart." This alone could be the vote of confidence that leads 'Alamo' to spare 'Rue', meaning, we can thank 'Maddy' if 'Rue' does survive the final swing.
