According to a report by Cosmopolitan, Gonzalo is the grandson of Teresa Gual and Alberto Bailleres, the wealthy entrepreneurs who rose to prominence with their mining company, Industries Penoles. He was born to Gonzalo Hevia and Teresa Bailleres. The family also owns Grupo Bal, the largest and most prominent private conglomerate and the luxury department store chain, El Palacio de Hierro.
Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres’s mom, Teresa, the youngest and only daughter of Teresa Gual and Alberto Baillères, holds executive and board positions within the family businesses, including significant roles at El Palacio de Hierro. In fact, his dad, Gonzalo Havia, serves as the executive president of the board at Epic Desarrollos, a company known for vertical real estate developments.
