Emily Atack is going through one of the next phases of his life. She recently celebrated her second wedding to Dr Alistair Garner in the whitewashed Spanish town of Mojacar. Just three weeks before her second wedding, Emily and Alistair tied the knot at a local church in Bedfordshire. Despite it being her big day, the Rivals star was seen apologizing to the locals of the town.

Emily Atack and Dr Alistair Garner’s second wedding took place in the courtyard of a 16th-century church in Mojacar. The couple exchanged vows in front of 197 wedding guests, including their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, the newlyweds headed out to take pictures in a parked red Cadillac. They were joined by their two-year-old son, Barney, at the wheel.

Before Emily got into the car, she took a moment to address the locals who gathered to watch the wedding. While apologizing to them, the actress said:

For those unaware, Emily Atack has a pretty strong bond with the area. This is because her father, Keith Atack, owned a property there for many decades up until 2018. Emily would spend almost every summer in Mojacar.

To conduct her second wedding, Emily and her now-husband, Alistair, had rented two neighboring restaurants in the historic town. When locals were told by security that they would not be able to walk through the area because of the same, they were left frustrated.

Emily's wedding in Mojacar comes just months after singer Dua Lipa’s wedding to Callum Turner in May 2026. The duo, who had tied the knot in Sicily, were heavily criticized by the locals after they blocked off several streets in the capital. Furious netizens of the ancient city even graffitied the walls with “Palermo is not for sale, our piazza is not your living room” while protesting the bash.

After Emily and Alistair’s ceremony was over, the pair walked through a shower of rose petals. They also led the Champagne toast and mingled with guests. Following this, everyone was treated to a three-course meal. This included starter options of cod risotto or mandarin sorbet. The main course featured shredded suckling pig with pumpkin compote and roasted apples, while dessert consisted of mango mousse with nougat ice cream.

They also had raspberry coulis with rum on the rocks and coffee afterwards. Emily and Alistair added a sweet touch to the wedding by naming every table on the seating chart after the word ‘Love’ in different languages. This included German, Greek, Swahili, Korean, Arabic, Spanish, and Filipino, among others.

Emily Atack’s Rivals castmates were a part of her big day

David Tennant was the one in charge of leading Emily Atack and Alistair’s star-studded ceremony. He was joined by a number of their Rivals castmates, Alex Hassell, Bella Maclean, Rufus Jones, and Victoria Smurfit. Dominic Collins, who is the show's writer, as well as his fellow lead producer Felicity Tucci, were also in attendance. Felicity was reportedly joined by her Devil Wears Prada actor husband, Stanley Tucci.

Aidan Turner and Danny Dyer were notably absent from Emily Atack’s wedding day. The actress’ former castmates from the Inbetweeners franchise were also not part of her special day.

Just last week it was announced that the much-loved show would be returning soon, although as of now it still remains unclear whether fans will see Emily reprise her breakthrough role as ‘Emily Hinchcliff.’ Initially, it was reported that she had been dropped from the 10th anniversary special called Fwends Reunited.
