NBA legend, Dwight Howard's marital life has hit a rocky patch after his wife, Amy Luciani, shared a tearful video accusing him of addiction and teaching his son to lie.
NBA legend, Dwigy Howard, is in a soup of controversy again as his wife, Amy Luciani, shared a shocking crying video on social media. In the five-minute-long reel, she opened up about their marriage breaking down and talking about her husband's dr*g addiction. Not only this, she claimed that due to his behaviour, their daughter has been taken away. Read on to know more about her!
Amy Luciani was born and brought up in Detroit. Her real name is Amber Rose, and the reason she changed her name was to avoid confusion with the model, Amber Rose. She is also a rapper and has been creating music from a young age. She started her journey with all-girl singing group called Entrance with her three sisters. They would tour around and even open up for Bow Wow and B2K. Later, she moved to Atlanta to pursue a solo career and released her first ECP, Amy's World, in 2023.
She also starred in seasons 11 and 12 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, which is an MTV reality series that shows the personal lives of local artists. She was part of the show to promote her music. She also started a charity to aid people with housing facilities in Atlanta. Apart from this, she had authored a children's book, Good Touch Bad Touch.
Dwight and Amy kept their relationship away from the media glare. The two share a five-year age gap, and on December 20, 2024, Amy shared a clip of her husband, Dwight, smiling at a diamond engagement ring on her left hand. The post is now deleted, and it also had other photos and videos of the couple dancing. Announcing their engagement, she wrote:
"I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are. Thank you for bringing me back to the word. Anything I say or fuss about, first thing you say is ‘Did you pray about it?’ Then I realized I hadn’t being praying much lately at all. I’m just thankful, happy and ready for everything that’s coming our way. I prayed reallllll deep on a Thursday not knowing 2 days later God would send me a Bible totin, tattood giant with the same heart as me. Thank you."
The couple got married in January 2025. The ceremony was kept private, and there was no wedding announcement. However, they dropped hints by asking their followers where they should head for their honeymoon. However, within six months, their marriage fell apart. In a court document, Luciani was the one to file for divorce and stated that their marriage was irretrievably broken with no prospect of reconciliation. She even asked the court to equally divide all marital assets and property between her and Howard. She also filed for alimony from the court.
Within a few months, Amy shared a video and expressed that she was stupid and silly to file for divorce from the love of her life. She further added that the bot had filed for divorce. She even stated it was due to the struggles of being a new young wife. She added that a lot of problems can be solved by staying quiet.
Amy shared a video from her car, wherein she broke down in tears. She talked about her struggles and revealed that Howard is having dr*g addiction. After which, she was forced to call the police several times during their marriage. She even stated that her husband taught her stepson to lie. Further, Amy claimed that the Child Protection Services were also called to their home, and they had left with their daughter. However, the video has now been deleted. It is worth mentioning that Dwight has five children with five different women.
