Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson have officially tied the knot. The announcement comes before their extravagant Bahamas wedding celebration. The couple quickly completed the legal formalities in Florida before their celebration with friends and family. The news has especially made headlines after President Donald Trump hinted that he might not go to the celebration amid the U.S.-Iran War.
According to TMZ, Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson signed their marriage documents in Palm Beach County, Florida. They signed it in the presence of a deputy clerk who officially approved their marriage license. They reportedly completed the legal formalities before their intimate yet luxurious wedding celebration in the Bahamas. The decision was taken with consideration of the international wedding formalities outside the United States.
The outlet revealed that Brad McPherson, a longtime Florida real estate attorney, officiated the ceremony. In fact, he has worked closely with the Trump family for several years now. Some reports also stated that Bettina Anderson has decided not to adopt the Trump surname after marriage. While the couple managed the legal formalities in private, they will be exchanging vows over the weekend in the Bahamas. It is expected to be a "small private affair" in the presence of their closed ones.
Initial reports suggested the wedding could have turned into a major political and social event, with the venue possibly being the White House. But the plans were changed after U.S.-Iran tensions and President Donald Trump's hectic political schedule. On the other hand, when asked whether he would attend the festivities, the President said he would have wanted to, but the current situation is not conducive to it. In his words:
"He'd like me to go. It's going to be a small private affair. I'm gonna try and make it. I said, 'This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. That's one I can't win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don't attend, I get killed … by the fake news, of course."
Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson were first romantically linked in 2024. It was around the time when he had reportedly parted ways with his former fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle. In turn, the duo's joint appearances in Palm Beach circles sparked curiosity. Gradually, she became a regular at Trump family gatherings, political events and social functions. Later, sources claimed in early 2025 that the duo had a long-term and serious bond. Eventually, towards the end of the year, President Donald Trump himself confirmed that Bettina Anderson and Donald Trump Jr were engaged.
On the other hand, attention has also shifted to Donald Trump Jr. 's ex-wife, Vanessa Trump. Just a couple of days ago, Vanessa announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing treatment for the same. Notably, Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa share five children. However, due to her illness, she might skip the Bahamas wedding. She is presently dating Tiger Woods.
Bettina Anderson hails from a wealthy and socially prominent Florida family. She was born and raised in Palm Beach. Bettina is the daughter of businessman, Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and Philanthropist, Inger Anderson. She completed her education from Columbia University in Art History and later worked on non-profit and environment conservation initiatives. In fact, she and her brothers started The Paradise Fund for conservation, disaster relief and environmental causes.
