TV actress, Divyanka Tripathi and her husband, Vivek Dahiya, are currently over the moon as they are expecting their first child. It is worth mentioning that the couple embraced parenthood after ten years of marriage. For the unversed, Divyanka tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Vivek, in 2016. On March 19, 2026, Divyanka and Vivek announced the good news on their Instagram handles. In a recent interview, the mom-to-be, Divyanka, shared her first reaction to her pregnancy.
In a recent interview, Divyanka Tripathi shared her first reaction to pregnancy. The Yeh Hain Mohabatein actress mentioned that she used to check the pregnancy test strips almost every month and wait for the double lines to appear. Divyanka highlighted that when she finally found out that she was pregnant, she took time to sink in. The mom-to-be, Divyanka, stated that when she told her husband, Vivek, about her pregnancy, they were quietly happy and didn’t celebrate right away. Divyanka added that after she found out she was pregnant, she became extra cautious. She was quoted as saying:
"I was checking those strips almost every month, waiting for the lines to appear, and when it finally happened, it took time to sink in. When I told Vivek, we were quietly happy. I didn't celebrate right away. There was a shift in my mind and body. I became very cautious about what I ate, how I worked out, and even how I moved. I was suddenly extremely self-aware and protective."
Divyanka Tripathi’s husband, Vivek Dahiya, who was also part of the same interview, shared his reaction. Expressing his feelings, Vivek stated that it felt like someone rewrote their script overnight. He highlighted that it didn’t begin with joy but started with disbelief and was followed by a bit of panic. Vivek added that it took him time to absorb the whole thing, and now he is feeling ready to embrace the new responsibility. He was quoted as saying:
"It felt like someone rewrote our script overnight. The course of my life changed completely. It didn't begin with joy. It started with disbelief, then a bit of panic, and eventually settled into a quiet happiness over the past few months. It took me time to absorb it, but now I feel ready to embrace this responsibility."
Further in the interview, the parents-to-be, Divyanka and Vivek, opened up about embracing parenthood in their 40s. Divyanka shared that one shouldn’t let age become a fear, as it should be the source of strength. Vivek added that there has been a notion about pregnancy that in the 40s, there’s a high risk. However, they are looking into it differently. Vivek stated that currently, they are at a stage where they hold more emotional clarity. He was quoted as saying:
"There is a notion about how pregnancy is seen at different stages of life, and in your 40s, it is seen as high-risk. But we look at it differently. We are at a stage where we have seen life and have more emotional clarity. So we are driven more by intention and less by pressure. It is something that has become very evident in our lives, and we feel this is what we need."
Divyanka and Vivek are spending one of the best phases of their lives. On March 19, 2026, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. Divyanka’s due date is in June 2026. In the post, Vivek and Divyanka twinned in white-hued outfits.
