Dipika Kakar's husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, gave her latest health update after she underwent surgery to remove a 13 mm stomach cyst.
Dipika Kakar, in May 2025, was diagnosed with a small tennis ball-sized cancerous tumour. She had undergone a big surgery for the same back in June 2025, and ever since then, she has been undergoing treatment. 22% of Dipika's liver was removed, and Shoaib in his latest vlog had shared that Dipika was diagnosed with a cyst of 13mm (1.3 cm) when she was experiencing pain in her stomach. She had to undergo surgery for the same, which took place, and now Shoaib has given the latest health update related to Dipika's condition after the surgery.
For the unversed, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim were recently spotted at a birthday party on February 20, 2026. It was on that night that the health of the actress deteriorated, and Shoaib, in his vlog, revealed that on February 21, 2026, they had hospital visits and everything was fine until Dipika developed mild pain in her stomach for two days. When the CT was done, and the doctor shared that a 13mm stomach cyst developed, the actress had to undergo an operation. Shoaib took to his Instagram Stories to reveal that the 'procedure went well' and revealed that Dipika has been in little pain. Their fans have been worrying related to the recent health concerns of Dipika and Shoaib assuring that Dipika was fine and penned:
"Allah ke karam se aur aap sabki duaaon se Dippi’s procedure is done. All went well. She is also doing fine, bass thode pain me hai. But nothing to worry about. Thank you all once again for all your prayers.”
Shoaib Ibrahim, earlier in his YouTube vlog video, had shared that other than the cyst, everything else is normal. They were scared about that, as last time, the doctor had told them that poorly differentiated and very aggressive tumours had a high chance of constant recurrences. He shared that the cyst was in its early stages and had not appeared in the PET scan that they had done in December 2025. They had also got blood reports done, and the range was a little high. Shoaib, speaking about Dipika undergoing immunotherapy, said:
"So the doctor has decided to treat it; there won’t be a major surgery, but the cyst will be burned. She will be hospitalized for 3-4 days, and the procedure will happen on Tuesday. We are glad that we found out at an early stage. Her treatment might also change after this; oral chemotherapy might stop, and she might need to take proper immunotherapy.”
Dipika Kakar had also revealed that going ahead, she will be on immunotherapy and targeted therapy will be stopped. She has been looking for courage, as one never knows what happens in life next. She reflected on how it was their anniversary recently, and they had decided to go out, but now it was not possible as she was in pain. Dipika had mentioned that the doctors had prepared them for the same, but she and Shoaib were anxious, thinking of their family and little Ruhaan. Speaking about fighting cancer, she said:
“I always say this, not just an illness like cancer, but any other illness, dealing and living with it is very challenging. I say it was a heavy day because there is a phase where it happens, you get out of it, treatment is going on, and then it reoccurs. Even though doctors had prepared you for this, when it happens, learning about it again, and then thinking about Ruhaan, the family, and Shoaib makes me anxious."
