Dipika Kakar became teary-eyed while sharing her blood test report. She was also worried about her new course of treatment.
Dipika Kakar, the much-loved actress, has been going through a tough time due to her health struggles. For the unversed, in February 2026, Dipika underwent surgery in which a 13 mm cyst was removed from her liver. It was Dipika’s husband, Shoaib, who revealed earlier that month that Dipika got a new cyst in her liver that needs to be operated on. Recently, she got her blood tests done. Although the test reports have come out normal, Dipika seemed worried about the new course of treatment and got emotional.
In the latest vlog, Shoaib shared a video of Dipika in which she was getting her blood tests done. He was happy to share that the blood reports are normal, and there is no new update. However, the Sasural Simar Ka fame looked sad and mentioned that she isn’t feeling okay thinking about her illness. Dipika then became teary-eyed as she opened up about her new course of treatment. The Bigg Boss 12 winner expressed her worry about the next step in her treatment. She was quoted as saying:
"Now we have to prepare for the next step, the new course of treatment, how the body will react, what side effects there might be, and what precautions we'll need to take. So yes, now we have to be ready for all of that."
In the same vlog, Dipika Kakar’s husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, shared a detailed update about her new course of treatment. Shoaib mentioned that the doctor would guide them through the next step in treatment. He called it a long battle. Shoaib highlighted that although reports have come back normal, Dipika needs to focus on maintaining this condition. He stated that currently, Dipika is also maintaining her diet. She is on immunotherapy, and her targeted therapy has been stopped. Shoaib is quoted as saying:
"So now, we just have to go back to the doctor and see what the next step in treatment will be. Because this is a long battle, even if the reports have come back normal, the focus now is on maintaining this condition. The ongoing treatment will continue, and this is a very encouraging sign that one step is done."
In a February 2026 vlog, Shoaib revealed that his wife had been experiencing mild pain in her stomach and thus they had visited the hospital. However, things turned serious on the night of February 20, 2026, as Dipika started experiencing severe stomach pain. Along with that, she also experienced shoulder pain. After visiting the hospital that night, Dipika got a CT scan done. The scan report pointed out that Dipika had another cyst of 13 mm in her liver.
After her surgery, Dipika shared a detailed vlog on her health condition. She mentioned that the surgery went well. But she felt pain in the area where the surgery was done. Dipika highlighted that she experienced more pain when she tried to move her body. She added that this time, after regaining consciousness, she felt a lot of pain. She was quoted as saying:
"I still feel pain in the area where it was done. It's a pulling pain when I move. This time, when I regained consciousness, I felt a lot of pain. When I came back to my ward, I read comments and found all of you praying for me—that gives a lot of strength. Whenever I read your comments, I am just in tears."
