Dilip Kumar-Saira Banu Celebrate 51 Years Of Their Beautiful Journey Of Joy And Peace

But what instills our faith in true love is the eternal real life love stories of our Bollywood celebs. One such evergreen couple who have shown devotion and have always stayed by each other’s side through every thick and thin, is Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.

Saira Banu was a die hard fan of King of tragedy Dilip Kumar since the age of 12. When she got a chance to meet her superstar for the first time in person, she knew somewhere deep within her that she will be his wife.

Saira Banu’s mother Naseem Banu played the cupid between the two and got them closer. Later they got married in 1966, when the diva Saira Banu was only 22 and Dilip Kumar was 44.

Despite the age gap of 22 years, their relationship is so strong that they completed 51 years of togetherness on October 11, 2017. The couple celebrated their 51st anniversary with family members and close friends. Saira Banu posted some pictures from their anniversary celebrations on Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter account.

She captioned it:

“Thank you Almighty God for making our journey beautiful with joy & peace.”

In an interview, Saira Banu talked about how lucky she is to be Dilip Kumar’s wife. She said:

"It’s a fact that ever since I became an actress, and in fact, even before that, I just wanted to be Dilip saab's wife. Material gifts are good, and yes, they make one happy. But, the gift of love is the biggest gift one could ever get. And I’m lucky that I have got that love from him."

Dilip sahab’s is 94 years old and his health condition is not very well. In August, Shah Rukh Khan (who is Dilip ji’s mooh-bola beta) visited him after the veteran actor got discharged from the hospital. Saira Banu shared this heart-warming picture of them on Twitter.

Dilip-Saira are one of the lovable and inspirational couples of tinsel town. After strongly passing the difficult phases with each other and making some lifetime memories together, they have truly given everyone some serious relationship goals.
