Zendaya and her mother might have set the record straight regarding the actress' pregnancy rumours with Tom Holland. Here's what we know about it.
Talented actress, Zendaya has once again come under intense online scrutiny for speculation about her personal life. She has sparked fresh pregnancy rumours with her latest appearances with her fiancé, Tom Holland. The Dune actress has been hanging out with Tom's parents and also occasionally spending quality time with him, silently supporting his current endeavours. During that time, a drastic change in Zendaya's outfit choices was noticed, which fuelled speculation that she was carrying Tom Holland's child. Amid that, a clarification from her and her mom surfaced, making fans wonder whether the actress had finally broken her silence on the viral rumours.
As news of Zendaya being pregnant with Tom Holland's child gained momentum, the actress's reaction came to light. Zendaya quashed the rumours through a post on X (formerly Twitter). She shared that whatever was being said about her pregnancy was made up and had no truth to it. The tone of the text embodied her annoyance regarding the fake news. The actress' fans have been sharing a screenshot of her tweet on social media, asking everybody to respect her privacy and not spread false rumours regarding her. Zendaya's tweet can be read as:
"See now, this is why I stay off Twitter. Just making stuff up for no reason weekly".
Now, the question is whether the tweet was really Zendaya's response to her recent pregnancy news. Well, the answer is both yes and no. The viral tweet was made in 2022, when the intensity of the pregnancy speculations got out of hand due to a TikTok prank. Therefore, it was actually a befitting reply to the prankster; however, it isn't a reply to the ongoing rekindled pregnancy specualtions. Neither Zendaya nor Tom Holland has presented any official statements regarding the December 2025 buzz surrounding their pregnancy.
The 2022 TikTok trend, known as the '#Krissed trend,' involved luring other users by posting about a false celebrity announcement. Zendaya became a victim of this prank when a TikToker posted a fake sonogram, photoshopped to look like an Instagram post by Zendaya. The phony post featured a fabricated caption that could be read as "I love you. Halfway there" and tagged her partner, Tom Holland. The video then cuts to a clip of Kris Jenner dancing to Lady Marmalade with the caption, "You just got Krissed!" Speculations surrounding Zendaya's pregnancy resurfaced at the end of 2025, and this time, her mother has come forward to speak on her behalf.
Zendaya's mother, Claire Stoermer, has dismissed her daughter's pregnancy rumors by labeling them as deceptive online tactics.
Her responses have primarily focused on clickbait warnings. Claire described 'clickbait' as a practice of using 'sensationalized or misleading headlines' to attract traffic by 'exaggerating claims or leaving out key information.' She dismissed Zendaya's pregnancy rumors, calling them baseless. She called out the media outlet spreading the false news regarding Zendaya and sarcastically stated:
"You gotta have better sources!"
Recently, in November-December 2025, speculation regarding Zendaya's pregnancy reignited after Tom Holland's brother, Sam Holland, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram from their outing at The Traitors: Live Experience in London. One picture shows Zendaya posing with Tom and his parents, Dominic and Nikki Holland. Netizens pointed out that Zendaya appeared to be "hiding her belly" with her bag or by wearing loose clothing. Some fans even alleged that Zendaya's face appeared fuller, interpreting it as a sign of pregnancy. Notably, she completed the shoot for her last project, The Odyssey, in August 2025, and hasn't been seen working on any new projects, further fuelling the pregnancy chatter.
