Controversial streamer, Dalton Eatherly, better known as ChudTheBuilder, landed in another controversy in May 2026. According to some social media posts, he was involved in a shooting incident outside a courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee. Some social media posts alleged that he fired his gun after someone attacked him during an argument. Although the news quickly went viral, authorities have not officially confirmed the details of the incident. Let us know more about it.

Did ChudTheBuilder shoot himself at the Clarksville courthouse?

According to multiple social media reports, ChudTheBuilder was outside the Clarksville courthouse on May 13, 2026. He allegedly got into a heated conversation there with another man, leading to a shooting incident. A popular X account, FearBuck, that often shares updates about streamers and internet personalities, shared some important details. He alleged that the argument increased after the streamer reportedly made a racist remark.

According to the account, the streamer allegedly asked the man if he was going to "chimp out". Soon, the individual reportedly punched him in the face. It reportedly increased the conflict. In turn, ChudTheBuilder accidentally discharged a firearm. Eventually, a bullet grazed his body. However, news outlets have not independently verified it. Even the Clarksville Police Department has not released an official statement to confirm the alleged shooting or health update. At thethe same time, FearBuck shared images allegedly showing ChudTheBuilder being taken out in a police ambulance outside the courthouse. But there are doubts about the images' authenticity.

For those unaware, ChudTheBuilder is known for intent provoking conflicts in public livestreams for attention and engagement. Even in this case, social media users have been accused of making racist comments. Over the years, many clips from the "IRL" livestreams went viral for featuring heated arguments and aggressive debates in public areas.

ChudTheBuilder was arrested for failing to pay a restaurant bill

The alleged courthouse shooting incident comes less than a week after ChudTheBuilder was taken into custody in Nashville. The incident occurred outside the Steak and Chop House at the Omni Hotel. According to reports cited by The Tennessean, restaurant staff repeatedly asked the streamer to stop his livestreaming in the restaurant. It started another confrontation. Later, ChudTheBuilder ordered food and drinks of USD 371 but refused to pay the bill. According to police documents, he allegedly told the employees, "I'm not paying if you are kicking me out."

When the cops arrived over complaints of chaos, ChudTheBuilder also allegedly resisted his arrest. He was accused of pulling away when officers were trying to detain him. In turn, he faced charges for theft of services, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Following his released, ChudTheBuilder penned on his social media handle: 

"FBI and domestic terrorist detectives interviewed me for about 2 hours before they took me for booking. No, sir, I'm just a dude with a camera."
