Amid Dianna Russini's alleged affair with Mike Vrabel, here's a look back at when the NFL reporter said her marriage is 'falling apart' and that she is married to 'someone average.'
Senior NFL insider for The Atlantic, Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach, have had a whirlwind past couple of hours after finding themselves in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. For the unversed, the duo have been facing intense online scrutiny for their alleged PDA despite them being married to different people. It was on April 7, 2026, that Page Six released exclusive photos of Dianna, 43, and Mike, 50, together at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona.
In the pictures that are reportedly from March 28, 2026, Dianna and Mike can be seen hugging, holding hands, and lounging together in a hot tub at the Ambiente resort. However, did you know that Dianna Russini had joked about divorcing her husband just two months before her and Mike's photos went viral? Yes, you read that right.
In February 2026, Dianna Russini made an appearance on Stugotz and Company while she was in San Francisco, covering the 2026 Super Bowl. During her appearance, Dianna cracked a number of jokes about how her marriage to her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, is “falling apart.” For the unversed, Kevin is a Shake Shack executive. Well, no sooner did her pictures with Mike Vrabel go viral than Dianna's jokes from the conversation resurfaced on social media. In the clip, Dianna joked, “We're getting divorced at the end of the year,” before adding, “we're going through it.” This led one of the hosts to quip, “Sorry, Kev.”
Dianna continued by saying that her husband does not even know who she is right now because they were so disconnected from each other. She said that their texts looked like those between two robots and added that she has a “lot of work” to do on her marriage after returning home from the Super Bowl. During the same episode, Dianna reveals that her mother jokingly lets her know that her “marriage is falling apart” and thinks that Kevin has “got a girlfriend.” In response to this, Dianna said:
“I go, ‘Why would you say that to me right now while I'm on a trip? That my husband has a girlfriend?’ There's nothing I can do, yet she's out here throwing things at my head. Now I'm wondering, ‘Ugh, one girl in his office is really pretty. It would make sense.’”
According to a report by TMZ, there was another time when Dianna Russini appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show and revealed that the night before her wedding to Kevin Goldschmidt, she interviewed hunky quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. She claimed that her mom wanted her to marry Jimmy, then said she saw their conversation as a “sign.” Interestingly, during the same clip, Dianna claimed that while her husband was “all-in” when he proposed to her, she was “sceptical” until the moment she met him at the altar.
In another clip from when the NFL reporter was on ESPN’s Get Up, Dianna said that she is “married to someone average.” She said that had she tied the knot with someone “beautiful”, he'd be all over her social media pages. It is worth noting that Dianna herself shared the clip on her own X (formerly Twitter) account with the caption, “I blame Aaron Rodgers for my potential divorce.”
