New fan-made theories led to calls for Mike Vrabel to undergo a DNA test to check if he was the father of Dianna Russini's son, Michael.
Former The Athletic reporter, Dianna Russini and New England Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel is currently under intense online scrutiny. It all started after Page Six released exclusive photos on April 7, 2026, showing the duo engaging in PDA at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. The matter escalated after their past interviews got revisited and their respective spouses got dragged in it. Recently Dianna resigned and Mike addressed the affair buzz stating it cost him his mental peace and led him to take therapy. Amid that, rumours of Dianna's son, Michael not being the biological child of her husband surfaced.
Shortly after the birth of Dianna Russini's son, Michael, she posted a debatable tweet that has resurfaced amid the buzz about her affair with Mike Vrabel. Her remark went overlooked as an innocent comment at that time, however, it has been interpreted in a absolutely different way as the Mike Vrabel controversy deepened. In the tweet, shared on 2021, Dianna mentioned looking at her four-day-old son, while trying to determine who the "best Michaels" as NFL player and coach were. The tweet could be read as:
"Keep looking at my almost 4 day old son Michael while trying to figure out who are the best Michaels to ever play and coach in the NFL?"
The tweet resurfaced in April 2026 afterthe Dianna-Mike case heightened following Page Six's newly-released photos from 2020, showing her and Mike Vrabel (whose full name is Michael George Vrabel) kissing at a New York City bar. Her 2021 post on her son, written a year after the alleged 2020 encounter with the Patriots coach, led social media users to speculate on the timing of the affair and the paternity of her child. Netizens wanted Dianna's husband, Kevin Goldschmidt and Mike to undergo DNA tests to check who the father of little Michael was.
Just days after Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel sparked immense buzz with their hand-holding and hugging pictures, social media users came up with a theory that one of their spouses was behind the leak of their private photos. Initial reports claimed that a fan had a chance encounter with Dianna and Mike at the Arizona hotel, took their snaps, and shared them with TMZ; however, the angles and clarity of the zoomed images led netizens to think they were taken by a professional, specifically a PI (private investigator). Recently, a prominent sports radio personality, Jared Stillman shared that a source close to Dianna told him that her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt hired the PI and leaked the photos.
Jared also shared the reason why he thinks so. According to him, it was a revenge move by Kevin against Dianna, with no financial motive. He mentioned that Kevin is very affluent and wouldn't aim to get money by putting a PI on his wife. That left Jared with the other most probable motive, i.e., defaming Dianna and paving the way for a spear campaign against her. He shared that if Dianna's husband actually plotted the entire PI thing with vindictive thoughts, then he had succeeded in it, as the alleged affair with Mark Vrabel "probably ruined her career." The Game 102.5-FM host felt Kevin had "done a really good job" in executing the plan. His exact words were:
"...vindictive. And if that's what the husband's doing...bravo because he has absolutely tanked Dianna's career. If the husband did hire the PI and if this is not about money then that means that the PI and the leaking of the pictures was all to smear Dianna's name. And in this case, you've done a really good job of it. And it has probably ruined her career."
