A few hours ago, on May 12, 2026, two-time Super Bowl champion, Asante Samuel took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share his opinion on Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel’s affair controversy, after the former was seen kissing her hubby, Kevin Goldschmidt in their first appearance on Mother’s Day. In his post, he highlighted the fact that the spouses of Dianna and Mike have no problem with the affair. His X post can be read as:
"So, as you can see, Dianna Russini is happily married. Mike Vrabel has everything under control. Carry on."
For the unversed, ever since the cosy photos and video of Mike Vrabel have been released, both Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini are silently getting support from their spouses, Jen Vrabel and Kevin Goldschmidt, respectively. It is worth mentioning that in the past month, both of them have maintained a dignified silence. Apart from this, a few weeks ago, Jen Vrabel made her first appearance, during which she was spotted wearing a wedding ring. On the other hand, Kevin was recently spotted giving a kiss to Dianna, suggesting that he is fine with the affair scandal.
Soon after Asante Samuel shared his thoughts on X, netizens flooded the comment section with their opinion. While some came in support of Asante, majority of them did not agree with him. One user commented, "He’s a good coach and that’s all that matters in this case." Another user shared, "You saw those pictures of her kissing her husband and you think everything’s fine?" A third user slammed Asante and wrote, "I can’t believe how hard you are defending this. How much Kraft paying you? 7k a post?." A fourth user penned a long message, which could be read as:
"Hahaha they are controlling the narrative so they can continue doing what they do because they are enabled and protected by people like you and the team and the NFL and the media because they can’t explain being together while she was pregnant. This will go on and will go away."
Recently, when Page Six shared glimpses from Dianna Russini’s first appearance with Kevin Goldschmidt after the affair scandal with Mike Vrabel, multiple users and insiders slammed the Shake Shack executive for supporting the former NFL insider of The Athletic. Some users also felt that Dianna and Kevin might be in an open relationship.
Moments after the photo went viral, one user on X commented, "I'm guessing this is 100% 'manufactured' outing to finally be seen in public, since she's been out of the media's eyes for weeks." Another user penned, "I believe this is staged to help the NFL." However, what grabbed everyone's attention was a comment that said, "Maybe they had a nasty little open relationship.
