After months of Diana Russini and Mike Vrabel's relationship expose, her former work organization, 'The Athletic' released a statement about the same.

While Dianna resigned from her position as the NFL reporter at The Athletic, Mike faced a lot of difficult questions around the same. Now, Dianna Russini's ex-boss, Mike Semel, who is the editorial director of The Athletic, shared about their findings in the matter.
Dianna Russini's alleged affair with Mike Vrabel was a clear violation of the newsroom standard. After she left The Athletic, a detailed investigation happened, and the news director, Mike Semel published the findings in a report. It clearly stated that Russini's relationship with Vrabel was a violation of newsroom standards. No matter whether the relationship was romantic, it was a breach and should have been disclosed. The report stated:
"Russini's relationship with Vrabel was in clear violation of The Athletic's standards. Regardless of whether the relationship was romantic, it was a breach and should have been disclosed."
As per Mike, he went through 903 videos, 204 episodes of her Scoop City podcast. He also interviewed her coworkers and listened to her off-platform appearances, and was not able to find a clear link that showed Diana used her position to give Mike Vrabel a leg up. He wrote:
"That said, there are examples of Russini writing glowingly of Vrabel that in hindsight are awkward or even uncomfortable."
Source revealed that Semel didn't acutally interview Russini over the course of five month probe. Semel noted that the bulk of Russini's work at The Athletic had nothing to do with Mike Vrabel. However, the relationship question the audience's confidence in her impartiality.
Semel concluded his findings by stating that Diana's work did not just revolve around Mike Vrabel and his team. However, he pointed at the videos wherein Dianna Russini called Mike Vrabel 'somewhat heroic' for breaking up a training camp fight. He also mentioned that the outlet should clarify and strongly enforce the right guidelines.
Meanwhile, Dianna Russini has no plans to return to work after the huge scandal that dragged her husband into the matter, and even her innocent children, as people passed mean remarks about the DNA test. Not only were Dianna's photos with Mike while she was pregnant also released. Many were waiting for her to speak the truth and share her side of the story, and when she did, Dianna made sure to share how it impacted her life.
Post the scandal, The New York Times reached out to Dianna to give an interview on the scandal, and she agreed to it via text message. She revealed how the scandal destroyed her life and career. She also called herself a 'former journalist' and revealed that she had no plans to continue her reporting career.
In the text she sent to the reporter, she admitted that she does not want to continue being part of the games world, and she won't be coming back from this. It is worth mentioning that post the interview, Dianna requested not to quote her, and she even asked not to publish the story, but the reporter denied, stating that they had no contract to indulge in an off-the-record correspondence.
