'Dhurandhar 2' will reportedly re-release in theatres with changes after fans noticed an editing error in the Ranveer Singh starrer.
Dhurandhar 2, also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has become a fan-favourite among cinephiles in India. The movie has it all, from a well-crafted plot and unexpected twists to amazing scores and stellar performances by the actors. The Aditya Dhar directorial was released on March 18, 2026, just a few months after the movie's part one, which was released on December 5, 2026, at the end of last year. It is worth noting that as the buzz surrounding Dhurandhar 2 continues to grow with each passing day, one on-screen error has grabbed viewers' attention.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Dhurandhar 2 features an on-screen error. While the error was brief and minor, it did not go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans. For those unaware, the scene in question is when we see Ranveer Singh's character, 'Hamza,' also known as 'Jaskirat Singh Rangi,' engaged in an intense fight with his childhood friend. Well, it was during a close-up on Ranveer's face that, in a reflection, we get to see a cameraman visible for a split second.
After the moment was caught on camera by sharp-eyed viewers, it became a talking point on social media, with many sharing clips of it. While many were amused by the error, others couldn't help but criticise it. It is worth noting that some fans on social media even refused to believe that such an editing slip-up occurred in a movie of Dhurandhar 2's calibre, claiming that the clips circulating were made using AI.
Those who did watch the clip and believe it wondered who the cameraman is, suggesting that it could be cinematographer, Vikas Nowlakha. One user on X (formerly Twitter) gave the example of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight and wrote, "That's inspired by Dark Knight; Nolan also mistakenly forgot to remove the cameraman in this scene. Peak detailing.” Another wrote, “Fake picture hai, AI generated hai wo actual me cameraman nahi dikhta usme.” A third user penned, “Right, this cameraman is there for a millisecond, I think Aditya must edit this and remove and update it, still have a chance wrna ek baar 2000cr hogaye phir koi matlab nahi.”
After the editing error in Dhurandhar 2 became the talk of the town, a source-based report by Bollywood Hungama revealed that Aditya Dhar has already acknowledged the mistake. Apparently, he has sent out revised versions of the film to cinemas across the country. To quote the source for the publication:
“Cinemas across the country were sent revised prints of the film and were told to screen them with immediate effect. Some theatres received the new print on Saturday, while others got it on Sunday.”
The source went on to confirm that in the new print sent out, the cameraman can no longer be seen in the mirror's reflection. According to the trade source, such mistakes can happen from time to time. However, correcting those mistakes is what makes it praiseworthy. They stated:
“When you are delivering such a mammoth film, you need to take care of countless aspects. Once in a while, mistakes do happen. Even in Hollywood films, one can spot many such goofs. It’s praiseworthy that Aditya Dhar and team got the mistake corrected. It goes without saying that even after the theatrical run, it'll be the rectified version that will play on OTT and satellite.”
While the editing error in Dhurandhar 2 briefly distracted the audience, it hasn't really affected the film's performance at all. For those unaware, in the sequel, ‘Hamza’s’ story builds on what had already been shown in Dhurandhar. The film dives deep into his origins and leads to an emotional arc. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the star-studded cast features Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
