All eyes are on Trisha Krishnan after her recent appearance at Thalapathy Vijay’s oath taking ceremony amid their affair rumours. The actress looked stunning in a soft aqua-blue coloured silk saree, which she complemented with a traditional look. After her recent appearance at Vijay’s oath taking ceremony, people were certain that the two are indeed dating each other. Before Vijay, Trisha was once blamed for breaking Dhanush’s wedding.
Though Dhanush and Trisha have only worked together in one movie titled, Kodi, but their bond goes way back. Dhanush and Trisha have been friends for over 10 years and share a very warm bond. So, when Dhanush announced his divorce from Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Trisha was blamed for the same. On the other hand, Singer Suchitra went on to release private pictures of Trisha and Dhanush, which further ignited the rumours. Although Suchitra’s husband later stated that her X account was hacked.
Dhanush and Aishwaryaa began their forever journey on November 18, 2004, at Rajinikanth's house. On October 10, 2006, they had welcomed their first son, Yatra Raja, and on June 21, 2010, they had welcomed their second son, Linga Raja and completed their family. On January 17, 2022, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth and Dhanush took to their respective social media handles and announced their separation and asked to respect their privacy. In 2024, the ex-couple's divorce was finalised.
Before Trisha and Vijay’s dating rumours, the actress was reportedly in a steady relationship with Rana Daggubati. Both Trisha and Rana were spotted at multiple events and get-togethers. Rumours about their affair led people to believe that the duo was serious and would tie the knot soon. But soon, reports surfaced that Rana and Trisha broke up. Years later, Rana spoke about his relationship with Trisha and stated that they have been dating but since things didn’t work out, they broke up.
Trisha Krishnan and Thalapathy Vijay had starred in films like Ghilli, Aathi, Thirupachi, and Kuruvi. However, ever since they started acting together, rumours of an alleged affair circulated. But they eventually stopped working together. But after their last film, Leo in 2023, it was reported that Vijay and Trisha were very serious about each other.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam’s absence from public events were also noticed which further strengthened the rumours. In February 2026, it was reported that Sangeetha had filed for divorce from Vijay and in her petition, she mentioned Vijay’s proximity to an actress as a reason for their divorce. Though the star wife didn’t take any names because of privacy, it was indeed clear that she meant Trisha as the actress never missed a chance to post pictures, giving subtle hints.
Sangeetha, in her petition, also claimed that despite many assurances, Vijay continued his illicit relationship. A few days after the news of his divorce surfaced in the media, Vijay attended a wedding with Trisha. Many criticised the duo because of the bold move they made despite the rumours.
On the day of Vijay’s oath taking ceremony, all eyes were there on Trisha. And not only she graced the event, but also showed the world that the rumours pertaining her and Vijay were indeed true. Draped in a soft aqua-blue silk saree featuring subtle woven motifs and a rich gold zari border, Trisha kept her style classy. With gajra adorned hair and subtle makeup, Trisha’s happiness was unmissable.
The striking point of the whole event was when Trisha greeted Vijay’s family. After she greeted Vijay’s sisters, Trisha went ahead and warmly hugged Vijay’s mother, who too was delighted to see her at the event. Her appearance at the event made it clear that the reports of her affair with Vijay were indeed true.
