The Daily Mail reported that a Tarot reader, who is in contact with Demi, revealed that the former OnlyFans star isn't ready to talk about her life. She still lives in Ibiza, but in a bohemian village named Santa Gertrudis, and spends her time caring for local stray animals and feral cats. According to the media outlet, she was in a dark headspace following the back-to-back deaths of her parents.
Demi's father, Barrie Mawby, died in October 2018 from cancer. Following that, only eight months later, her mother, Christine Mawby, also died after a prolonged illness. Demi was her mom's caregiver; however, losing her parents back-to-back left her sad, angry, bitter and lonely, and eventually led her to the way of spirituality.
Demi hasn't opened up about her suffering; however, she reportedly dropped a social media post during that time, where she revealed that she had trust in divine timing. She, who was very close to her family, revealed:
"I have faith that I am in the right place at the right time, and I am going in the right direction. I trust that everything I am going through now is teaching me and preparing me for my future. Everything is happening as it needs to."

The reason behind the duo grabbing attention was that they were spotted soon after Kylie broke up with the rapper, which brought Demi the tag of Tyga's 'rebound'. It couldn't be confirmed if it was just a fling or just friendship; one thing is sure: it was not anything serious. During that time, Tyga said that he was 'single'.
On the other hand, in another interview with the Daily Mail after several months, Demi said there were no bad vibes between her and Kylie; however, she asked people to stop defining her as Tyga's 'ex' or 'rebound'.
