In Bollywood, once a head-over-heels in love couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were also by each other’s side to support each other emotionally and professionally. During a conversation at Jio MAMI Movie Mela with Star, 2019, Deepika Padukone reveals the difference between hubby, Ranveer Singh and ex-beau, Ranbir Kapoor’s acting style. Deepika reveals, “Ranbir doesn’t really have a process; he is very spontaneous. I have never really seen him ‘prepare’ for his role as such. He’s like me in that respect. Our approach is 50% rehearsed and 50% spontaneous. Ranveer, on the other hand, really gets into the process. He changes everything for the role – right from the car he drives, to the clothes and the perfume he wears. He’s a different person every six months, which is probably one of the reasons why our relationship has lasted so long; I never get bored.”
After her breakup with Ranbir, Deepika was in a relationship with her then-beau, Ranveer Singh. The two had kept their relationship under wrap but their chemistry on and off-screen had spoken volumes about their love. Deepika in a 2017 interview, had talked about their love in public and had said, “When we're with each other, we don't need anything or anyone else. We're comfortable in each other's presence. Sometimes it's an intelligent conversation, sometimes just silence, sometimes there's a childlike innocence. We keep each other grounded. We are good in that sense”. During the same interaction, she also talked about her working experience with hubby, Ranveer and said, “He likes to discuss work and take it home. But not me. I like to be in a different headspace on the set and at home.”

Ranbir and Deepika were once madly-in-love with each other but their relationship went for a toss after Deepika had alleged that Ranbir cheated on her. Recalling on the same, Deepika had once said, “The first time he cheated on me, I thought there was something wrong with the relationship, or me. But when someone makes a habit of it, you know the problem lies with him. I give a lot in relationships and don't really expect much in return. But, infidelity is the deal-breaker. Once it comes in, respect goes away, trust goes away and these are the pillars of a relationship you can't f**k around with it”.
