According to reports, a Tottenham fan tried to taunt Declan by showing him a photo of Lauren Fryer during the match. The incident took place when Declan was preparing to take a corner kick. In turn, the incident immediately sparked criticism from fans on social media. The midfielder's fans described it as a personal attack that crossed a line. Although Declan did not react to it in public, some reports claimed he addressed the situation later.
