Fashion influencer Danielle Bernstein has officially called off her wedding to Cooper Weisman, just seven months after their engagement. However, many fans had predicted the split weeks ago.
Just seven months after saying "Yes, a million times", WeWoreWhat founder, Danielle Bernstein, has called off her wedding with her fiancé, Cooper Weisman. The couple had a lavish engagement party in June 2025, and the fashion influencer looked the happiest with the real estate professional. The news of the broken engagement comes as a shock to most of Bernstein's fans, who had been following their journey over the years. However, some people online say they had it coming. Here's what is known about the breakup.
On Friday, January 30, 2026 (ET), Danielle Bernstein officially announced her split from Cooper Weisman. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the WeWoreWhat founder wrote that they were parting ways respectfully. She clarified that there was "no big dramatic reason" behind the split. She wrote:
“I’ve been quiet about my personal life, and wasn’t ready to speak on it until now. We’re stepping away from our relationship with love and respect. There's no big dramatic reason - sometimes it's simply not the right forever."
Danielle and Cooper looked happiest after their engagement, and on their two-year anniversary on October 18, 2025, they even hosted a lavish party where the influencer proudly flaunted her ring. Regarding the decision, the influencer said that things just didn't work out enough for a lifelong commitment. The couple, who often shared Pinterest-worthy moments together on social media, were a much-loved pair among fans and followers. Speaking about how difficult a decision it was, Danielle concluded her statement:
"I'm not sure what the future holds, but this choice took courage. I would really appreciate privacy and grace for both of us during this time."
Danielle, 30, and Cooper, 33, were first romantically linked in 2023 after the entrepreneur soft-launched her then-beau through an Instagram post. Unlike most influencer couples, they kept their relationship private, and fans only caught glimpses of them together when Danielle posted photos from their romantic at-home dinners or holiday escapades.
After about two years of dating, Cooper proposed in June 2025 in a dreamy rooftop setup in New York City, sitting on one knee with a huge teardrop-shaped diamond ring. Danielle looked over the moon as she announced her engagement on social media. Sharing photos of the proposal on Instagram, she excitedly wrote, “YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Later, Danielle shared a video of the proposal on her Instagram page and said it was the "easiest decision" to say "yes" to Cooper. The fashion designer recalled the emotional moment and wrote:
“My heart is bursting, and I still can’t believe it all, from the timing to the ring, I’m just in shock and on cloud nine! He did good, guys, whoa!!!!! I’ve never felt more sure of anything. Saying yes was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”
While Danielle didn't pinpoint a specific cause of the breakup, her announcement comes after weeks of social media speculation that things were not looking up for her and Cooper. Some eagle-eyed netizens on Reddit noted that the couple was facing trouble with prenuptial agreements. In a popular thread from around two weeks ago, a user, who claimed to have "personally" spoken to one of Cooper's friends, allegedly confirmed trouble in paradise.
A Redditor chimed in, saying the 33-year-old real estate professional might have used a prenuptial agreement to gradually end the relationship: "I still think he is using the pre-nup (at least partially) as the easier way to get out of the relationship rather than directly break up!" Another seconded the information, mentioning that the wedding was cancelled. A third user wrote:
"Word on the street is she wants to keep all income post marriage in case of divorce, even the money from content from their wedding, honeymoon, future children, etc. - obviously, he could argue none of those things would exist or be happening if it wasn’t for him and wants a cut."
It is important to note, however, that these are all unverified accounts and should be considered speculation. Neither Danielle Bernstein nor Cooper Weisman has confirmed any prenup-related dispute.
