She was in her Texas home at the time of her death and faced a long struggle with dementia, as per her family. It was her son who confirmed the news of her passing away, which left Chuck Norris emotional. For those who don't know, Chuck and Dianne were childhood sweethearts, but parted ways on an emotional note. Read on to know why.
Chuck Norris has been through a lot and seen massive success as an American actor. However, his personal life has been a rollercoaster. The actor was earlier married to his high school sweetheart, Dianne Holechek. After a whirlwind romance, they decided to grow up together and got married in December 1958, just six months after graduating from North Torrance High School, where their love had blossomed.
However, their love story ended after 30 years of marital bliss. The two were blessed with two sons, Mike and Eric. The couple separated in 1988, and their divorce was confirmed in 1989. It seems like Chuck Norris' infidelity was the reason. While he kept speaking highly of his childhood sweetheart. It was in a 2004 biography, Norris admitted that he had an extramarital affair.
In his biography, Norris revealed that he also had a love child. He accepted that he cheated on his wife, Dianne, in the year 1962, within three years of their marital bliss. But the actor wasn't aware of his love child until his daughter reached out in 1991, when she was 26. She claimed to be his child from the love affair.
Chuck Norris accepted that he was in California as part of the US Air Force when he met a woman named Johanna. In a weak moment, he made love to her, resulting in his love child out of wedlock. He admitted that he was guilty as he never told Johanna that he was married.
Chuck Norris revealed that Dina's mother, Johanna, told her not to reach out to him, but she was adamant about meeting her biological father. So, he met Dina and his mother, Johanna, which was an extremely emotional moment. Despite a warning from her mother, Dina was adamant about reaching out to Norris and did just that.
The actor agreed to meet with her and Johanna, making the moment emotional and unforgettable. Recalling the moment, Chuck revealed that the moment he met his daughter, he didn't need a DNA or blood test. He hugged her and broke down. After which, there was no looking back, and Chuck still shares a warm bond with her. Talking about Chuck Norris' first wife, he always acknowledged her presence in his life. He stated that she has always supported his goals and never complained, even when they were scrimping and scraping financially.
Dianne Holechek passed away at the age of 84, and her son, who is also a filmmaker and actor, Mike Norris, revealed that she is no longer suffering. He called her the best and the greatest, and he was luckiest to have her in his life. Norris and Holechek met while they were in Torrance, California, in the late 1950s. He was at the age of 18, and she was 17. Norris also shared a post for his ex-wife, and wrote:
"I am deeply saddened to share that my ex wife, Dianne, has passed away. After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me. She was kind, intelligent, and lived life to the fullest. Her presence in my life will never be forgotten. She was also a loving and devoted mother to our sons, Mike and Eric, who were always her greatest pride. Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together."
