Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleThe shocking death of Pune-based businessman, Ketan Agarwal, has been dominating all the headlines. A birthday trip turned out to be a parent's worst nightmare after 26-year-old Ketan was allegedly pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Lonavala by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary.
Soon after Ketan’s tragic death, police tracked down Chetan, who was present at the murder scene on the day of Ketan's death. Investigators claim the pair had made multiple failed attempts before allegedly carrying out the murder at the fort. Police alleged that Chetan left his phone behind and used another mobile device on the day of Ketan’s murder.
Chetan deliberately avoided using his own mobile phone to avoid location tracking, which led to a crucial part of the investigation. In a major turn of events, police arrested a worker from the shop of the accused, Chetan Chaudhary, for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. The man was identified as Neeraj Kumar, who has been employed at Chetan’s shop for the past three years. And on the day of the heinous crime, Chetan used Neeraj’s mobile phone and carried it with him to Lohagad Fort. As per the officials, this phone was used multiple times to contact Siya.
As per reports, Ketan was the Director and Chief Marketing Officer of his family-owned real estate firm, Success Group, in Pune. He got engaged to Siya Goyal in February 2026 and was all set to get married in November 2026 in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Their families had known each other for a long time.
Ahead of Sia’s birthday, the duo took a trip to Lohagad Fort near Pune. Later, Siya called the police and informed them about her fiancé's death and claimed that he slipped during their trek and fell 400 feet into a gorge while trying to take photographs. His body was recovered, and later, a case of accidental death was registered, but the family wasn't convinced about the claims. Investigators soon became suspicious after noticing inconsistencies in Siya’s account and her lack of grief following Ketan's death.
Soon, Sia’s boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, also cropped up. The two were arrested as they allegedly conspired to kill Ketan. Investigators claim the pair had made multiple failed attempts before allegedly carrying out the murder at the fort. Authorities allege that Siya lured Ketan to the fort while Chetan secretly followed them, where he pushed Ketan into a deep gorge, causing his death.
Ketan Agarwal’s case became even more disturbing when investigators claimed there had been previous attempts on Ketan's life. According to police, an earlier incident occurred on June 14, 2026, at the same fort, when Siya allegedly pushed Ketan toward the edge. He reportedly managed to save himself by grabbing onto nearby vegetation. Investigators allege she then created a distraction by claiming she had spotted a snake.
Siya and Ketan were all set to go to Bali for a pre-wedding shoot, but it never happened. It was reported that Ketan lost his passport, which was revealed to be Siya's plan, who intentionally hid it so they could skip their trip. According to multiple reports, Siya's uncle and aunt forced her to get married despite knowing about her affair with Chetan.
