Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa got legally married on June 09, 2019, in a court marriage. On June 14, 2019, the world witnessed the next steps of the communion of these two beautiful souls in their Goan destination wedding. Their pre-wedding festivities started on June 14, 2019, with an engagement ceremony. And, on June 15, it was their mehendi and sangeet.

Charu Sen and Rajeev Sen's wedding was one of the most anticipated weddings of this year. A guest present at their court marriage had earlier informed about the details of Charu and Rajeev's outfits, to the Bombay Times. The report had the guest quoted as saying, "Since white is the colour of purity and red signifies love, Rajeev sported a white kurta-pyjama, while Charu wore a red sari for the wedding. After the ceremony wrapped up, Rajeev’s mother gifted Charu a set of diamond earrings. The newly-weds then went to Mount Mary Church and Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings."

Charu Sen took to her Instagram handle after her wedding with Rajeev Sen and shared the following beautiful picture from their sangeet night. She adorably captioned it as, "We danced our way to a beautiful dream wedding. Beyond blessed. #rajakibittu."

Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa had been dating each other for quite some time. A few months ago, a source had shared with a media portal, “Yes, Charu and Rajeev are dating each other. Their relationship is very tender at this stage. Both of them are not ready to talk about their relationship in public as of now and are taking things slowly. They are really fond of each other. Charu Asopa, in a recent interview with the Bombay Times, had shared the details of her then-upcoming wedding. She had told the media portal, "It will be an intimate affair with just 20-25 people each from our respective families in attendance. Our families had originally zeroed in on a date in December, but Rajeev, during a conversation with me, said that it’s too far. That’s how we advanced the date to June 16. Forget others, even our families were surprised to learn about our decision. We will have a reception in Mumbai depending on the availability of our families and friends."

Further detailing out the intricacies of her D-day, Charu Asopa had added, "I have always dreamt of having a white wedding. So, we plan to have a Christian-themed engagement and I will wear a white gown for it. The idea is to start with white — the colour stands for peace and purity — and then add colours to our functions and costumes, with us in red on our wedding day. We will be colour-coordinated for all our functions. While the pheras will happen according to Rajasthani and Bengali rituals, the theme for the wedding will be royal Rajasthani. I am in a shopping mode now. I haven’t taken up any new project, as I want to spend time with Rajeev after marriage."

Charu Asopa's now-nanad is the former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen. On her equation with Sushmita, Charu had said, "You won’t believe that I impersonated Sushmita Sen, when she was crowned Miss Universe, at a fancy dress competition in my school. I was very young then. I showed her the picture and she said that I looked adorable in it (smiles). Imagine the stroke of luck, she will be my sister-in-law soon. She told us to never sleep over a fight, and resolve our differences without any delay."
