It happened on September 13, 2025, and not even a year has passed since the family had to relive the horrors of Charlie's sudden loss. Charlie Kirk's accused assassin, Tyler Robinson, is all set for the court hearing.
Erica Kirk is all set to face the accused, Tyler Robinson, in court this week during the critical hearing. According to a source, it is going to be a tough week for everyone related to Charlie, as they will be attending the five-day evidence hearing in Provo, Utah. The report also claimed that the evidence might cause the family to leave the courtroom for. The source was quoted as saying:
"There is going to be evidence presented which the family may choose to leave the courtroom for. That’s their prerogative. They are going to make those decisions when in court."
As per the report, the public assassination video will be shown to Judge Tony Graf, and autopsy evidence would also be shared during the hearing. However, it is not clear whether photos of Charlie Kirk's body would be shown. And lawyers have given a warning to Charlie's loved ones that they could leave the courtroom during the painful moments of the proceedings.
For those who don't know, Robinson is accused of shooting Charlie Kirk from a long range during a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem on September 10, 2026. The 23-year-old gunman accepted the crime in messages with his trans lover, Lance Twiggs.
Tyler Robinson is a 23-year-old from Utah, located in the western part of the US. Tyler was identified as the shooting suspect who killed Charlie Kirk, who was at Utah Valley University for a discussion. The boy was identified after President Donald Trump announced that the suspect had been caught.
For the uninitiated, Tyler Robinson, who was in hiding, was apprehended by the police after his father, Matt Robinson, assisted the authorities. President Donald Trump was the first to confirm that the suspect had been placed in custody two days after the killing of Charlie Kirk. Trump added that a minister and the suspect's father played an important role in persuading him to surrender to the law. He even claimed that Matt Robinson himself drove Tyler to the police headquarters. Trump said:
"I hope he’s going to be found guilty and I hope he gets the death penalty. What he did — Charlie Kirk was the finest person and he didn’t deserve this. He worked so hard and so well. Everybody liked him."
It is worth mentioning that Matt Robinson has been a veteran of the Washington County Sheriff's Office for the past 27 years. He is also registered as a Republican. Utah Governor Spencer Cox revealed that a family member of Tyler's contacted a family friend, who then reported the matter to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. It indicated either that Tyler confessed to or implied involvement in the killing of Charlie Kirk.
