Actress, Celina Jaitly has been in the spotlight since last year for filing a case against her husband, Peter Haag. For the uninitiated, in November 2025, she accused him of domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation. Taking it a step further, Celina sought a whopping Rs. 50 crore in compensation. A couple of days ago, the Mumbai police reportedly registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Peter for allegedly failing to cooperate with the investigation. Amid these concerns, on Sunday, May 10, 2026, Celina shared a heartbreaking note about how she is being denied access to her own kids.

Celina Jaitly shares a heartbreaking post on Mother's Day about her emotional turmoil of staying away from her children

A while ago, on the occasion of Mother's Day, Celina Jaitly took to her Instagram to share an emotional video in which she was seen visiting the grave of her late son during her recent visit to Austria for the court hearing. Coming to her note, she has no access to her children. She wrote:

“I have no option but to share these videos. I lost my children the day I chose to leave Austria to protect my dignity, my children, & my brother. In the early hours of the morning, with the help of neighbours, I quietly escaped what I had experienced as systematic oppression, isolation, emotional abuse, humiliation & fear. Because I filed legal proceedings in India to access the only roof above my head, my own home, purchased with my own money in 2004, & because I sought legal help for my brother detained in the Middle East, my children were blocked from speaking with me.”

Celina elaborated that despite having joint custody arrangements and subsisting orders of the Austrian Family Court, at present, she is being denied communication with her children. She revealed that her kids had been moved to an undisclosed location where they are “being brainwashed & radicalised against their own mother & her faith in Hinduism” by her husband, Peter and his father. She says that two weeks ago, when she visited Austria for her divorce hearings in Austria, all she could do was stand outside her own home “broken…remembering the love, devotion, sacrifices, & unconditional care” with which she raised her family.

According to Celina, irrespective of her undertakings before the court, her children were not brought back. She said that the only child she got to hold was her “departed angel,” Shamsher. As per her note, it was in early September, 2025 when the actress was served divorce papers under the pretext of receiving what Celina believed was a gift for her and Peter's 15th wedding anniversary. After that, despite the years of abuse that she had faced, Celina sought an amicable separation because she wanted to prioritise the welfare of her children.

However, to her dismay, those efforts were met with demands relating to her premarital assets, coercion, intimidation, and attempts to strip her of her freedom, dignity, and independence. Celina claimed that everything was taken from her after over 15 years of marriage. And today, it has left her with a broken heart. In her words:

“All I ever asked for… was my children… & what I myself contributed to this marriage, my own hard-earned money, my own assets, my own sacrifices. Everything was taken from me over 15 years of marriage. Today, I am left with a broken heart… & a place beside my departed son’s grave where I cry, pray & gather strength. This… is Mother’s Day for me. But I am the daughter of Maa Mahalalitha Ambika, Maa Kali, & Maa Durga. I now return to India to fight for my children, my dignity, truth & justice.”
