The music video, 'WAP's behind the scenes, showcases a rare insight of musical icon, Cardi B fangirling over Kylie Jenner as she nervously meets the makeup mogul for the first time.
There is nothing more iconic than two strong women adjusting each other’s crown, and that is precisely what the unlike camaraderie of Cardi B and Kylie Jenner stands for. Acing together in their fields, the two are known for their unabashed opinions and elite status. Cardi B is the most commercially successful rapper and musician of the decade.
On the other hand, Kylie Jenner is the former youngest self-made billionaire, makeup mogul and reality TV star. Kylie Jenner appeared in Cardi B’s 2021 music video, WAP, and her seconds-long cameo drew in much more attention than the entire music video. A behind the scene (BTS) clip of the music video has recently resurfaced where a visibly nervous Cardi B is seen fangirling over Kylie Jenner.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired an episode where they gave rare insights into BTS the WAP's music video. In the clip, a visibly nervous Cardi B is seen adoring Kylie Jenner from far. Kylie's mother, Kris Jenner, approaches Cardi and asks if she said hi to Kylie, to which the rapper gushes that she is ‘scared and nervous’. After which Kris calls Kylie to talk to Cardi.
As soon as Kylie turns to Cardi, the latter starts bouncing out of excitement, and the two hug. Kylie expresses how excited she is to meet Cardi and indulges in a conversation with the later on her daughter. Cardi is seen starstruck and fangirling all through the conversation. Cardi B, while talking to Kylie, further added:
"Like you don't understand, I prayed, it’s the highlight of my career. Your body looks wow!"

Later, via her tweets, Cardi B revealed that she is a big-time Kylie fan. She cast Kylie in the WAP music video as the reality TV star was extremely sweet and hospitable to Cardi’s sister and daughter during Stormi’s birthday party. Also, Cardi’s husband, Offset, shares close relations with Travis Scott, who was Kylie’s partner at that time.
