Camron Guthrie is a retired F-16 fighter pilot who served in the U.S. military for over two decades. Savannah had proudly shared an Instagram post in 2018 honoring her brother's final flight. Additionally, she revealed that he had flown for 26 years and continued to serve with the Vermont Air National Guard's "Green Mountain Boys." The Today Show co-anchor described him as "the pride of our family and one of this country's finest." Camron's career in the Air Force shaped a large part of his life away from the public spotlight.
According to insiders, he is a disciplined, reserved person with a strong sense of duty. Unlike his media-facing sister, Camron chose a path rooted in duty rather than visibility. During the second week of investigation, the investigators confirmed that some ransom notes demanding USD 6 million in Bitcoin were sent to media outlets. Among others, at least one contained sensitive, non-public details about Nancy's home, hinting at its authenticity.
In turn, Savannah, Annie, and Camron released a video message stating, "We will pay," urging the captors to make contact. On the other hand, Nancy Guthrie's residence was searched as per the regular protocols, and the blood found on Nancy's porch matched her DNA. However, the case has become more sensitive owing to Nancy's dependence on daily medication and her fragile health. Meanwhile, the FBI has announced a USD 50,000 reward for information leading to her.
