It is worth mentioning that Josphine Nasr wasn't obese. As per report by Daily Mail, she suffered a fatal heart rhythm in her dorm room at the University of East London.
Josephine Nasr died due to weight loss shot, she was prescribed by her doctor in California in August 3, 2025. The investigators found an empty vial of the treatment was found in her room.For those who don't know, Josephine was a second-year law student, and a week before her death she had visited her home in California.
On the day of her death, she had spoken to her family at around 8:30 p.m. However, she was found dead two hours laters. Over the phone call, Josephine told her parents and her sister, Anastasia that she was feeling nauseous and had been vomiting.
The family, who were getting ready for their trip to Egypt, were tensed and asked her to get some fresh air. Her sister then called a private healthcare provider and asked for some IV fluids thinking that her sister would get dehydrated. When she tried calling her sister, she did not pick the call.
By the time Josephine's sister tried to connect with security, the nurse had reached the campus to administer the IV fluids. When they reached Josphine's room, they knocked on the door but they got no answer. After getting inside the room, they found her lying on the bathroom floor. The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the investigation they found that Josephine had a body mass index which indicated that she was overweight but obese. Josephine was taking the prescribed medication by her doctor in summer of 2025.
When her family found out about her death they were at Los Angeles International Airport. They were about to fly to Egypt, when they got a call. Her mother fainted upon hearing the news. The family rushed to be with their daughter, Jospehine. She was all set to gratudate in international law and legal studies in 2027.
A netizen on X shared their experience of weight loss shots, and said, "My child overdosed on those multi dose pens. Thank God she got immediate Medical care but suffered a week of Vomiting & nausea. This is a bigger deal than people know.

A second user penned, "So sad. We don't need these dangerous pharma drugs. They are only interested in your." Another user penned, "Society has enabled a culture of shortcuts and cheating mixed zero accountability. Plenty of people doing it purely to lose weight and turning into shells of their former self, when controlling their diets and exercising would have been healthier."
Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. This situation raises question on the weight-loss drug which has become easily accessible.
