She explained that many people assume that partners of famous athletes do not work and simply enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. In her words:
"People think we don't work, that we stay at home, that we're trophy wives. I say, 'Wait a minute, because I have my jobs, I pay my team, I have salaries to pay. I earn my money, I pay my bills.'"
For those unaware, Brauna is a famous influencer and entrepreneur. She has nearly 16 million Instagram followers and collaborates with major brands for promotions. At the same time, she manages her team and business commitments. But all these things are often overlooked because she is Neymar's girlfriend.
Brauna Biancardi is a Brazilian model, digital creator, and entrepreneur. Incidentally, her name is similar to Neymar's longtime ex, Bruna Marquezine. She began dating Neymar in 2021 after they crossed paths through common social circles in Brazil. They made it Instagram official in 2022, but their way ahead was not smooth.
The couple broke up and reconciled several times due to intense public criticism and rumours of Neymar's infidelity. They took a break, especially after the birth of their first daughter in 2023. But eventually they reconciled and now share two daughters, Mavie and Mel. Months ago, when one fan asked about their marriage, Bruna mentioned that they are "married on paper", but she or Neymar said nothing more about it.
In fact, the couple are now expecting a third daughter. It will be Neymar's fifth child and third with Bruna. Earlier in the tournament, she wrote an emotional message for her husband after his selection in Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad. In her words:
"My family and I will always be with you: in joy or sadness, in victory or defeat, in good days or in bad times. We love you infinitely. May God bless you, protect you and guard you every step of the way. Now is your time!" she wrote on social media."
Brazil's World Cup campaign has come to an end after a 2-1 Round of 16 defeat to Norway. Neymar scored Brazil's only goal from the penalty spot in stoppage time. It took his international tally to 80 goals and 59 assists in 130 appearances. However, Erling Haaland's brace helped Norway secure their place in the qualifier finals. Confirming the end of his international career after the match, Neymar said:
"I tried. I tried. It started here at MetLife Stadium, and I finished here. It is now over," the 34-year-old told reporters after the match."
