Bruce Campbell previously stated that following his cancer diagnosis, he was prioritizing treatment over his professional commitments for the immediate future. It gave the busy man a rare opportunity to sit back and spend more time at home with his family.

Following his diagnosis, Bruce revealed that it helped him get past the slight rough patch he faced in his marriage. He said that being diagnosed gave him a clear vision for setting his priorities right during an interview with Michael Rosenbaum, which was posted on the actor's Inside of You podcast. "I look at myself, and I go, 'Holy s---t, I'm living with an angel, and she was sort of my by b----y wife a couple of months ago. So that's another one, too, [if you want to] rekindle a relationship with a close significant other, get cancer because it strips all the other crap away."

In the same interview, Bruce shared that sometimes when someone asked him how he was doing, he responded by telling them the upsides of having cancer. He made a bizarre remark, telling them that if they want to get their financial house in order from A to Z, they should get cancer.

Bruce Campbell said the entire thing in jest as he tried to cheer himself up and deal with his painful diagnosis. His exact words were:

"I was asked the other day, 'Hey, you know, how are you doing?' and I was like, 'Okay, how about this perspective- if you want to get your financial house in order from A to Z, get cancer. If you want to rekindle with friends and family that you haven't talked to in decades, get cancer. If you want to refocus your life - laser focus only on the things that bring you joy and remove the drudgery from your life forever, get cancer."
