Bridgerton season 4 Part 1 focuses on the fairy tale love story of 'Benedict Bridgerton' and 'Sophie Baek'. The season opens with a grand masquerade ball where 'Benedict' meets a mysterious masked woman and instantly falls for her. But he does not know that the masked woman is 'Sophie', who is living a difficult life as a maid. Part 1 follows 'Benedict' as he tries to find 'Sophie' everywhere. And on the other hand, 'Sophie' tries to keep her identity hidden. Viewers can expect both romantic and tense moments between the two.
As soon as Bridgerton season 4 Part 1 was dropped on Netflix, multiple viewers binged watched it and shared their reviews on X (formerly Twitter). While some users appreciated the chemistry between Luke and Yerin, others called season 4 the best till now. One fan commented, "Bridgerton season four is sooo k-drama coded that we have a kite scene and three near kiss scenes!!!! We're being fed." Another fan wrote, "Yes, yes, I have to say it, it might be, maybe, the best season of the four. Great chemistry, it doesn't feel repetitive, some unnecessary secondary characters but they don't distract you from the main couple. I love it." A third fan gave the lead cast a hashtag and penned:

While the much-loved romantic series received a lot of love from the audience, there were a few users who were upset with the narrative and the cast of the show. For the unversed, multiple characters were cut down in the latest season, which left viewers heartbroken. One user commented, "The writers on Bridgerton fu***d everything, sadly. The show losing members of the titular family and instead paying more attention to a huge number of side characters will be its downfall eventually. Easing the siblings out and sending them packing after their season is horrible." Another user shared, "It's a shame to see what Bridgerton writers did to Colin storyline this season, an insult to Luke Newton's talent and time as an actor. #BridgertonSeason4"
