In a world that blindly follows the latest trends and opts for heavy designer wears for their big day, it is always nice to see brides taking a U-turn and embracing their traditional roots. Over the years, we have seen many brides restyling their mother's wedding day saree for their big day or revamping their family heirloom jewellery. They keep surprising us every time they choose a special outfit for their most important occasion.

There is an old rhyme that says a bride must wear something old, something new and something borrowed for prosperity, good luck and happy married life. Recently, we stumbled upon a bride, who repurposed her great grandmom's antique saree border for her wedding day look and had donned her mother and nani's heirloom jewellery. Her wedding was nothing less than a dream.

The bride of the week, Tarini Manchandani had tied the knot with the love of her life in a dreamy wedding ceremony, which was beautifully shot by Dhanika Choski. The highlight of the entire wedding was the bride's creative mind and the will of wearing ensembles that she was emotionally connected with. She had ditched all the designerwear and had repurposed a beautiful ensemble that is a blessing from her family.

The bride had worn a red chiffon saree. The fabric of the saree was bought by her mother when she had visited Paris over a decade ago. Her mother had sent it to Lucknow to get the traditional mukaish handwork on it. She had also added her great grandmom's saree's border to her wedding day outfit. She had styled her look with a sleeveless blouse featuring a sweetheart neckline and a dupatta tucked on her head, which had featured excerpts of letters written to her by her grandparents over the years.

For the jewellery, the bride had donned her nani's necklace, a maang teeka and her mom's earrings. She had also donned one kaleera which is her family heirloom passed on to her by her great-grandaunt as a tradition. She had also worn an old ring from her groom's grandmom. She had kept her makeup subtle and hair tied in a bun with floral adornment.
