13-Year-Old Boy Attacked By 6-Feet Shark While He Was Fishing, Witness Recalled The Horrifying Scene

A 13-year-old boy was attacked by a six feet shark while he was trying to unhook it. A witness recalled the horrifying scene.

After the horrific alligator attack that killed a 31-year-old Florida hiker, another gruesome episode unfolded with a 13-year-old boy. He was out fishing with his father and two others when a shark attacked him and bit his thigh. They were near Ossabaw Island, which was about 20 miles south of Savannah.

A 13-year-old bitten by a shark in Georgia

Nothing can take away the pain and trauma of being attacked by a shark. As per reports, a 13-year-old boy was bitten by a shark in Georgia. He, along with his pals, reeled it in while fighting. However, the shark bit his thigh by sinking its teeth in the flesh of the boy as he was trying to unhook it. 

The teenager was on a boat with his father and two others, near Ossabaw Island, which was about 20 miles south of Savannah, on July 1, 2026. The shark was nearly six feet, revealed a shocked witness. They also revealed that he was sitting on the back of the boat and reading a book when he saw a boat coming towards them, and the child's father was in a rush to seek help and first aid.

The man further revealed that he went on the boat and saw there were three teenagers on the boat, and in front of them there was a traumatic scene. He said:

“I was sitting right here reading a book on the back of the boat and we saw a boat coming up and we could tell from a distance that there was trauma going on. I went to the boat and saw three teenagers on the boat and a traumatic scene."

The witness further shared that the boys told him that they were fishing when they caught a large shark which was about five or six feet. They were trying to unhook it, and the shark, in haste, latched his clenching teeth onto the young boy's right thigh. Soon, he rushed to get a first aid kit and assisted him. He said:

"They told me that they were fishing. They caught a large shark, five or six feet, and tried to unhook it and the shark latched onto the young man’s right thigh and I got the first aid kit and assisted."

As soon as McIntosh County EMS volunteer BJ Comer found out about the incident, she rushed to her car and grabbed the emergency kit, and she tshe would need to make a tourniquet. However, soon the ambulance had arrived. The emergency call was made at 3:51 p.m. The dispatcher made a desperate plea to save the 13-year-old boy who was bitten by the shark.

We pray for the boy's speedy recovery. However, so far, no update regarding the boy's health has been shared.
