At Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's grand pre-wedding ceremonies, the Bollywood queens radiated some pure elegance in their ensembles. Now, we curated looks of some of them in 'Gharchola' sarees.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding ceremonies were simply one of the most lavish events of March 2024. Celebrities from around the world graced the three-day-long function and simply flaunted their fashion skills. On the final day program, i.e., at the 'Hastakshar' event of the duo, the Ambanis had asked their guests to wear traditional ensembles. Thus, to pay tribute to the Indian culture, two Bollywood divas wore gharchola sarees in order to match the vibe of the venue, which is in Jamnagar, Gujarat. For the unknown, gharchola sarees are an integral part of Gujarati weddings, and the drape features striking tones of golden and red, grid pattern design, and bandhani elements.
For the night, Deepika Padukone stunned in an intricately-designed gharchola saree, and dropped some lovely pictures of her loof on her social media handle. In the pictures, Deepika's scintillating saree featured floral gota work all over it. She teamed her saree with a heavily embellished blouse, which featured golden zari works in floral patterns along with some pearl drops.

Deepika accentuated her look with ruby-embedded jewellery, including a choker and stud earrings. Moreover, subtle statement look featuring blushed and highlighted cheeks, coffee brown lipstick, winged eyeliner, and glittery eyeshadow completed her look. She kept her hair tied in a messy bun adorned with gajras. In addition, she was seen radiating a pure pregnancy glow. For the unversed, Deepika and her husband, Ranveer Singh are expecting their firstborn in September 2024.
Sanjay Kapoor's daughter, Shanaya Kapoor also attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding ceremony. For the last event of the three-day-long program, Shanaya wore a red-hued gharchola saree, which featured stone embellishments at certain intervals, and a broad zardosi border and aanchal. She opted for a heavily embellished blouse which featured a princess-cut neckline and looked regal, donning it altogether.

Shanaya's gorgeous look was accentuated with polki jewellery featuring precious gemstones along with matching earrings. She completed her regal look with subtle makeup, including smokey eyes, nude lipstick and a middle-parted bun hairdo. Moreover, she carried a potli bag and jootis to add stars to her look.
Earlier, on February 5, 2024, Sonam Kapoor had graced celebrity photographer, Apeksha Maker and her entrepreneur husband, Acash Awchat's grand wedding reception in Mumbai. For the occasion, she turned into a Gujarati bride and opted for a maroon-hued Gharchola saree featuring golden zari works and geometric patterns. She teamed it with a crushed blouse.
Sharing her pictures on her IG handle, Sonam had shared that she borrowed the 35-year-old saree from her mother, Sunita Kapoor. Sonam completed her look with a half-done hairdo adorned with gajras and glam makeup. Moreover, she accessorised her look with diamond-encrusted jewellery, including a broad necklace, matching earrings, a maang teeka, bangles and was seen carrying a golden-hued potli.
