Dominic Aaron Lee Evans, a bandmate and close friend of Tommaso Cioni, has come under public scrutiny after Nancy Guthrie's son-in-law was allegedly involved in her disappearance. Tommaso and Dominic are members of the band, Early Black, which was formed alongwith Walter I. Goncalves, Jr. Dominic is currently making it to online discussions due to his past criminal record. Following journalist, Ashleigh Banfield's claims that Tommaso may be a "prime suspect" in Savannah's mother's kidnapping, social media users began calling for those in his "inner circle" to be vetted, specifically naming Dominic Evans.

It showcased felony charges of burglary, robbery, theft and embezzlement levied against the Early Black member. The source of the information was attributed to the Az Pima Court. His crimes and his close ties with with Tommaso Cioni, an alleged suspect of Nancy's kidnapping, brought unwanted attention to him. Notably, both men are based in the Tucson, Arizona area, near where Nancy Guthrie resided, putting them under suspicious eyes. The post calling out Dominic could be read as:

"I think everyone in that inner circle should be looked at and fully vetted. Including this guy, Dominic Evans. He's Tommaso Cioni's friend & bandmate. Has arrests for burglary, robbery, embezzlement, DUI."
