Salman Khan is said to be charging a whopping Rs. 8 to Rs. 10 crores per weekend episode of Bigg Boss 19, as reported by Financial Express. This season of Bigg Boss will also be on a longer format, running for more than three months. Several sources say that Salman would be hosting only the first three months. Later, Farah Khan, Anil Kapoor and Karan Johar will take over as hosts, rumours suggest. So by this calculation, Salman is all set to take home Rs. 120 to Rs. 150 crore for three months.
According to reports, Salman Khan is set to earn more in three months than the Indian Prime Minister does in a year. An NDTV report suggests that the Prime Minister's position in India gets a salary of Rs. 1.66 lakhs per month. Rounded off, the salary is somewhere around Rs. 20 lakh per year. Hence, Salman Khan will be earning approximately 600 times more than any Indian Prime Minister.
Following the continuous interference of Bigg Boss's voice in the previous two seasons, which had peeved viewers and foiled contestants' game plans, the upcoming season of the show will reportedly give more control to the contestants.
