Royal Challengers Bangalore has officially won their second IPL trophy. Bhuvneshwar Kumar shared his first post after the win and Suresh Raina's comment on it has gone viral.
Rejoice IPL fans! Virat Kohli’s team, Royal Challengers Bangalore has won its second IPL title by defeating Shubman Gill’s team, Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets. For the unversed, the match took place on May 31, 2026, in Ahmedabad, where RCB lifted the trophy with pride. Amid all the excitement, ace bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has taken 28 wickets in IPL 2026, a while ago, shared his first post after the win on his IG handle.
A while ago, ace bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took to his Instagram handle to share his first post after the marvellous win of Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Titans. In the post, Bhuvi, in the jersey of RCB, held the trophy tightly close to him and posed with the biggest smile on his face. He captioned the post as:
"Ee Sala Cup Namdhu, Thirga (Again)!"
Bhuvi’s post instantly went viral and fans flooded the comment sections with praises and congratulatory messages. However, it was Suresh Raina’s heartfelt comment that stole the limelight. For those who missed it, Suresh Raina called Bhuvi ‘brother’ and penned, "Congratulations brother, so happy for you and entire team."
Apart from Suresh Raina, a lot of fans penned heartwarming comments for the ace bowler. While some felt that Bhuvi deserves the trophy more than anyone else, others hailed him for taking 28 wickets in the entire season. One user commented, "My man deserves every bit of it. The purple cap does not belong to you but you are the best bowler in this season no one can dine that." Another user shared, "Would have loved you in purple cap but God had better way of rewarding - another ipl cup." A third user wrote, "@imbhuvi Swing master..." A fourth user also penned, "What an outstanding bowler man."
Soon after RCB won the IPL 2026, Bhuvneshwar Kumar rushed to his wife, Nupur Nagar and their little daughter and picked up the little angel in his arms. He also gave a heartfelt hug to his wife. It is worth mentioning that amid the win, it was Bhuvi’s daughter, who stole the limelight by wearing the jersey of RCB. For those who do not know, Bhuvi tied the knot with Nupur in 2017, and a few years later, in 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter.
In a post match interview, after winning IPL 2026, Bhuvneshwar Kumar spoke about losing the Purple Cap to Kogiso Rabada. For the unversed, Bhuvneshwar took 28 wickets in the entire season and Rabada took 29 wickets, making him the winner of the Purple Cap. Sharing his emotions, Bhuvi revealed that the trophy is way more important for him and would trade that anyday. Further, he also spoke about his team efforts. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was quoted as saying:
"I mean the trophy is the most important thing for us. I would trade that any day. I think credit goes to everyone. If he (Hazlewood) didn't do well, I was there. If I didn't do well, Rasikh was there."
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was easily one of the best bowlers of RCB in the entire season of IPL. Overall, it was his calm nature and powerful skills that overshadowed everything else. With his amazing bowling skills, Bhuvi was even praised by legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, who described him as 'wobble seam'. However, it was a match against Mumbai Indians, after which Bhuvi became the hero. For the unversed, during that match, Bhuvi hit a six in one of the last balls that led to the victory of RCB.
