Everyone's favourite Indian reality show, Bigg Boss 19, is finally airing its most anticipated grand finale today, on December 7, 2025. The show initially featured 16 contestants. After three and a half months of intense competition, only five of them reached the final episode. The top 5 contestants include Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Tanya Mittal, Pranit More, and Amaal Mallik.
Each of these contestants has made a name for themselves with their unique gameplay on the show. Among the top 5 contestants, one participant in particular has viewers confused about whether to love her or hate her. This participant is none other than Tanya Mittal. Many of Tanya's moments on the show have gone viral or made headlines. One such incident occurred when she openly discussed her lavish lifestyle in front of the BB19 participants. She claimed she flies to Dubai just to enjoy a piece of baklava, a type of dessert. She also claimed that she travels with 150 bodyguards. Her statements not only shocked viewers but also her fellow participants, who were left wide-eyed after hearing her. Tanya claimed that she owns a "Cartier gift card worth Rs. 5 lakh, along with cards from 30-40 luxury brands." As if these revelations were not shocking enough, Tanya further opened up about her time at the music academy, stating that she owns musical instruments alone worth around Rs. 30-40 lakh. Overall, all of Tanya's statements reinforced her image of high-end opulence.
One of the most talked-about incidents in the BB19 house occurred when producer, Ekta Kapoor came into the show and made a shocking announcement on stage. With the show's host, Salman Khan, by her side, Ekta said:
“Sir ke show mein, ek offer karna mera ek riwaz raha hai… the one who shook the world, Tanya Mittal, I would love to cast you.”
Adding mysticism to the moment, Ekta revealed that one of the reasons she gave Tanya this offer was due to her strong astrological placement. Anyone would be happy to hear such words from a producer of Ekta's calibre, and Tanya, too, couldn't hide her joy, calling the offer a “dream project” for her while expressing her heartfelt gratitude.
At the beginning of the show, one friendship that caught viewers' attention was that of Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri. However, what started as a strong friendship soon spiralled into one of the most emotional breakups of this season. Neelam's rivalry with Farrhana Bhatt is a known fact in the BB19 house. This is why, when she saw her close friend, Tanya, steadily bonding with her rival, it eventually led her to confront and accuse Tanya of being “two-faced”. The heated confrontation ended with Tanya declaring:
“Our bond is over. I won’t even eat with you now.”
Tanya's journey on the show has been filled with controversial moments. What took the cake, however, was when she, along with the other participants, made body-shaming remarks about Ashnoor Kaur. When Ashnoor learned about the comments made about her, she told Tanya she should be ashamed of herself. Taking note of her words, Salman Khan also took it upon himself to call her out on national TV, stating:
“Haathi jaisi, moti, dinosaur. Who gave you the right to comment on someone’s body?”
Salman Khan is the host of the hit show for a reason, and he proved it when he gave Tanya a brutal reality check, exposing her “calculated strategy”. Telling her how she always has her eyes on the camera, he accused her of crossing the limits multiple times with her gossiping and then hiding behind jokes. Not being impressed with her gameplay, he stated:
“Jaise karni, waisi bharni — that suits you well.”
