Yuzvendra Chahal is a popular cricketer who has often made headlines due to his personal life. From his highly publicised divorce from Dhanashree to rumoured dating with RJ Mahvash, Yuzvendra has always grabbed the limelight. Recently, actress-cum-influencer, Taniya Chatterjee, claimed that the cricketer had DM-ed her cute. Following this, Yuzi filed a defamation case against Taniya. It is worth mentioning that after RJ Mahvash and Yuzi’s alleged breakup, the cricketer was linked with Bigg Boss 13 fame, Shefali. Now, finally, Shefali broke the silence on the following.
Bigg Boss 13 fame, Shefali Bagga, recently sat for an interview with Filmygyan. During the candid conversation, Shefali shared that it was quite frustrating for her to answer these questions. She highlighted that it’s strange to think that two people going out for dinner are dating. Shefali added that she doesn’t care about such narrow-minded people’s opinions. Dismissing the dating rumour involving her and Yuzi Chahal, Shefali said:
"I really don’t want to answer as I am just fed up. I really don’t care. Honestly, my threshold is over now. Say whatever you want to say. I know my reality, and the people around me know my reality. I’m honestly tired of hearing these dating rumours. It’s strange how people assume that even going out for dinner means you’re dating. The mindset is very narrow. I truly don’t care about such things anymore. I’ve stopped taking stress over them. People can say whatever they want."
Shefali Bagga and Yuzvendra Chahal sparked dating rumours when they were spotted together following a dinner outing in February 2026. The duo also worked in an advertisement, further fuelling the dating rumours. Shefali and Yuzvendra’s dating buzz made headlines at a time when Yuzi and his rumoured ex-flame, RJ Mahvash, unfollowed each other on Facebook.
Yuzvendra Chahal crossed paths with Dhanashree Verma in 2020. Yuzi signed up for Dhanashree’s online dance classes during the COVID-19 lockdown. Soon, their professional relationship turned into a love-filled personal bond. After two months of dancing training, the cricketer proposed to Dhanashree. On December 22, 2020, Yuzi tied the knot with Dhanashree.
However, their seemingly happy marriage hit a rough patch, and they parted ways after four years of marriage. In March 2025, Yuzi and Dhanashree’s divorce was finalised. During their divorce settlement, it was the cricketer’s t-shirt bearing the text, "Be your own sugar daddy", which stole the spotlight. Later, during a podcast, Spill The Tea, Dhanashree reacted to Yuzi sporting such a t-shirt on that day. She was quoted as saying:
"He walked out first, and that whole t-shirt episode unfolded. I wasn't even aware of it at the time because I was still inside. I left through the back door because I didn't want to face the media. I was just wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans. I sat in my car, still trying to catch my breath. Before I even realised what had happened, people began speculating about me because of that stunt. Sitting there, I felt like, 'It's done. It's dusted.' Somewhere, I did feel bad. Why was I even crying about this? Then I thought, forget it-let's just end this."
Following the online drama, Yuzi, during a conversation with Raj Shamani, shared the reason behind sporting the 'sugar daddy' t-shirt. The cricketer mentioned that he didn’t want to do any drama. However, there were some allegations that were not true. Thus, he gave a message by sporting the t-shirt on the day of their divorce settlement.
