Famous singer-rapper, Badshah's personal life is in the headlines after a couple of pictures surfaced on the internet. In the photos, Badshah was seen as a groom, and he was allegedly married to Isha Rikhi. As soon as the photos were shared online, fans started searching for Isha Rikhi, and digging up information about Badshah's divorce from his first wife.
For those who are unaware, Isha Rikhi is a Punjabi actress and model. She first made headlines with her debut film in 2012. She played a small role in the blockbuster hit film, Jatt Juliet, which was a rage at that time. After playing a character artist, she starred in hit films such as Happy Go Lucky and Ardaas. She has also made her Hindi cinema debut with the film, Nawabzaade. She had worked opposite Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak, and Dharmesh Yelande. She has also been a famous face of many Punjabi music videos.
As photos of Badshah and Isha's marriage have been circulating on the internet, their relationship rumour started in 2022. It was reported that the couple have been together since 2021. It was also claimed that their respective families were aware of their relationship.
As per the buzz, Badshah and Isha met each other at a friend's party and found an instant connection. However, at that time, Badshah had dismissed the relationship claims, but they were often spotted together at various events and functions, and were spotted together during Karan Aujla's album release.
Badshah, in an interview with Lallantop, revealed why his first marriage to Jasmine Masih failed. The globally popular singer revealed that it was due to the cultural difference and how his ex-wife, Jasmine, was unable to adapt and blend into his home. He also revealed that it was a messy marriage, and they decided to part ways.
Talking about how they met, Badshah revealed that he met his wife on Facebook. When he told his family about her, they acted cool and agreed to their marriage. He shared that after meeting online, they met via a common friend. They were in a relationship for a year and ended up getting married. However, as per him, it was a mistake as he should have examined and known how it would be. In fact, one should listen to their parents as they asked him if he was sure about her. He was quoted as saying:
"We met online, on Facebook, and then connected via a common friend. We dated for over a year, and then got married. It’s important to do your due diligence. It’s important to examine how people can co-exist. Parents are usually right. They asked me if I was sure."
In the same interview, Badshah added that Jasmine was born and brought up in London, and hence, his parents had an idea about the cultural differences. Badshah stated that his ex-wife could not adapt to the cultural differences, and it became really messy; they tried very hard to save their relationship. Badshah can be quoted as saying:
"She was born in London, she grew up there. My parents predicted that there would be problems. And that’s what happened. She could not adapt to the culture, and it got really messy. But both of us tried very hard to make it work."
Badshah added that since he got married too early, it happened. But one should marry if they are extremely sure about the person; otherwise, it is disrespecting the institution. He said:
"We get married too early, but of course, there are biological reasons. But you should get married if you’re extremely sure, otherwise you’re disrespecting the institution… To co-exist with someone with an opinion is a full-time job."
