Rapper Badshah is facing controversy over his Haryanvi song, Tateeree. On the personal front, he seems to have started a new chapter in his life, as the rapper reportedly married Punjabi actress, Isha Rikhi. This is Badshah's second marriage, following his separation from his first wife, Jasmine. However, did you know that in 2023, wedding rumours had surfaced that Badshah had married Isha, which he denied.
Well, it was Isha Rikhi's mom, Poonam Rihi, who shared snaps that hinted at Badshah and Isha getting married. However, the buzz about the pair dating has been going on since 2023, when Isha was reportedly Badshah's girlfriend. Badshah had squashed the wedding rumours back in 2023 and had schooled the media. He denied claims of marrying Isha and had written on his Instagram Story:
"Dear media, I respect you but this is super lame. Im not getting married. Whoever's feeding you this bullshit needs to find better masala (sic)."
Well, Badshah has not yet posted official pictures from his wedding with Isha Rikhi. The buzz around Badshah's personal life has been interesting, as Isha's mom, Poonam, posted an array of pictures on her social media feed hinting that her daughter is getting married to Badshah. Netizens in the comments section could not stop writing congratulations. As seen in the snaps, Badshah was seen performing the wedding rituals in the presence of his closest family members. The reported wedding of Badshah and Isha seemed to be intimate, private, and it seems like the rapper started off a new chapter in his life. Poonam had captioned the pictures are:
"God bless you @isharikhi and @badshah."
There have been reports doing the rounds that Badshah and Isha Rikhi have been dating for a couple of years. Both of them reportedly had met via mutual friends, fell in love, and dated for three to four years before tying the knot. The singer has been extremely private about his personal life. He was earlier married to Jasmine Masih back in 2020.
Badshah and Jasmine Masih were married for eight long years, and earlier in an interview with India Today, the rapper revealed what went wrong in his wedding with Jasmine. The ex-pair have a daughter called Jessamy Grace Masih Singh. Badshah also spoke about his views on marriage and why the fundamentals need to be updated today. In his words:
"I loved her with all my heart. We met on the internet, on Facebook. Then we met at a friend's party in Chandigarh. After dating for 1.5 years, we got married. Are you sure? Since she was born and brought up in London, it might create problems. And that is what happened. She could not adjust to the culture and it got really messy. But we tried our best in that relationship."
Badshah further revealed that he and Jasmine separated as it was not at all healthy for their child. He does not get to meet his child often as she stays in London, the Kar Gayi Chull singer once revealed on the podcast Prakhar ke Pravachan. Badshah had revealed that his ex-wife practised Christianity. He also revealed that marriage is a flawed concept in today's day and age. Some modifications need to be done. Speaking about the institution of marriage, Badshah revealed that one should get married after careful thought and a certain level of maturity.
