Ghajini fame, Asin Thottumkal’s real-life love story with her husband, Rahul Sharma is similar to Kalpana and Sanjay’s story in the film. It was Akshay Kumar, who had introduced Asin to Rahul during the promotions of Housefull 2. It was at the Asia Cup 2012, where Asin had got to know about him and his business. Rahul’s simplicity had impressed Asin and after dating for four years, the two had tied the knot in 2016.

Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma had welcomed their baby girl on October 24, 2017, and had released an official statement about the same. A year later, Asin had shared the first-ever picture of her daughter and had revealed the baby girl’s name on her first birthday. Wishing her daughter, Asin had written, "Happy 1st birthday ARIN! #arinturnsone."
Asin’s baby girl is three years old now and the mommy rarely shares glimpses of her. A few hours back, Asin shared a picture of her daughter, Arin learning Kathak, wearing a mustard anarkali suit with floral work on it. The baby girl looked innocent as she tried to ace the posture. Asin wrote, “Weekend Kathak Practice 3 yr old” atop it.
When Arin Rayn had turned 3 years old, Asin had shared a few glimpses of her birthday party and had revealed the meaning behind her surname ‘Rayn.’ She had written, “She’s 3 now- Arin Rayn (Her name - both first name and surname, a combination of Rahul and my first names. ‘Rayn’ is pronounced ‘Ra’-‘in’ but spelt with a twist. A short, simple name, gender neutral, secular, free of religion, caste and patriarchy.) Thank you to each and everyone of you who sent us love, wishes and blessings! Eternally grateful. During the lockdown 2020, Arin had kept us hooked with her cute gimmicks. From reading books to painting, Arin had shown the right way to deal with lockdown blues. For example, Asin had posted pictures of her daughter, Arin, entertaining everyone as a ‘wizard.’
It was during lockdown 2020 only that Asin had started delighting her fans with her daughter, Arin’s glimpses to spread happiness and positivity. She had once given a glimpse of her daughter’s styling tips as the baby girl had decided which sunglasses to wear on her own. On one of the two pictures, Asin had written, "Don't ask me...! She picks what to wear herself! Especially the sunglasses" atop it.
On Arin’s second birthday, her doting parents Asin and Rahul had arranged an aquatic theme party for her, where the theme of the décor was blue and white. Arin was dressed in a blue coloured frock which is her favourite colour with a white coloured shrug and a ponytail. Asin had captioned the pictures as “2 years #Happy2ndBirthdayArin #babysfavouriteblue #latergram.”
