Ex-Bigg Boss Contestants Ashmit Patel And Maheck Chahal Are Enjoying Their Pre-Wedding Honeymoon

After the fairy-tale destination wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, another couple is all set to marry in Europe. Ex-Bigg Boss contestants Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal are ready to tie the knot in the year 2018. But before their wedding in somewhere around August, the couple left for their pre-wedding vacation.

Maheck said ‘yes’ to Ashmit’s proposal in Spain on August 18, 2017. The couple took off from their professional commitments for a week to spend some quality time together. According to the reports, the lovebirds have headed off to Sri Lanka for their pre-nuptial honeymoon.

For those who don’t know, this hottest actress of the television land and this handsome heart-throb of B-town are ex-Bigg Boss contestants but from different seasons. Ashmit participated in the fourth season (in which he was seen being involved with Veena Malik), while Maheck was seen in the fifth season. But this couple was meant to be together.

They even participated in another famous reality show, Power Couple, where the love blossomed between the two. Talking about what happened, the actor was quoted as saying, “We have known each other for 12 years as friends and would meet at parties and at common friends’ get-togethers. Later, we worked out at the same gym in Bandra and would often work out together. Then one day it was raining. She didn’t have her car and I offered to drop her home. We stopped for bhutta at Carter Road and spoke for hours, from evening into the night. That’s when we discovered that we had something special. Power Couple helped us to strengthen our relationship. It showed us where we stand and made us realise that we can’t do without each other. Today, we are very sure of each other and our love.”

Ashmit proposed his lady-love in Spain, where he served her the engagement ring on a plate wrapped within chocolates and strawberries. Sharing about the special moment, Ashmit remarked, “Maheck has a habit of having dessert after dinner, and I had decided to propose then. However, on that night, she did not ask for any dessert. So, I excused myself and asked the waiters to get some strawberries dipped in chocolate. I then placed the ring on the plate with strawberries, under a bowl which was placed upside.”

Taking their relationship to another level, Ashmit discussed his wedding plans, and retorted, “Maheck wants a traditional gurudwara ceremony with pheras, which we will arrange for in Europe, followed by a winter reception in Mumbai.” Their wedding would be somewhere by the end of August 2018.

Looks like the pre-nuptial honeymoon is taking over the trend for the next season.
