Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendular's son, Arjun Tendulkar's wedding festivities began in Mumbai with 'shagun ki mehendi'.
It is celebration time for Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar as their son, Arjun Tendulkar, is all set to get married. The couple got engaged last year, but the Tendulkar family didn't share details of their daughter-in-law. The family announced the big news when they went to give the wedding invite to the Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Arjun and Saaniya's wedding celebrations began with the first function, i.e. mehendi night, as per a social media page. The soon-to-be-married couple made their first appearance in front of the media. Arjun and Saaniya were accompanied by Sachin Tendulkar, Anjali Tendulkar and Sara Tendulkar.
The bride-to-be, Saaniya, was dressed up in a gorgeous silver mirror-work lehenga with a pink-hued net dupatta. However, the highlight of her look was her heavy kaleeras which made her stand out from the crowd. It is worth mentioning that kaleeras are the ornaments that are worn by a Punjabi bride on the day of the wedding. On the other hand, her groom looked handsome in a contrasting beige-hued sherwani. Anjali wore a purple-hued sharara while Sachin Tendulkar donned a green-hued kurta-pyjama with a floral jacket. On the other hand, Sara Tendulkar also looked gorgeous in a mauve-hued lehenga with her hair styled at the back.
On August 13, 2025, reports of Arjun Tendulkar's engagement with Saaniya Chandok surfaced on the internet. The reports claim that it was a private affair. The ceremony was attended by close family and friends of the couple. However, neither Tendulkar nor the Ghai families gave any official statement regarding the same.
According to media outlets, Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandok have been friends since childhood, and there are several photos of the couple. Not only this, Saaniya even shares a great bond with Arjun Tendulkar's sister, Sara Tendulkar. The two were spotted attending a wedding together earlier this year.
Saaniya Chandok is the granddaughter of Mumbai's famous businessman, Ravi Ghai. Unlike other Gen-Z kids, Sania likes to keep a low public profile, despite coming from one of Mumbai's most influential families. The Ghai family have a strong presence in the hospitality and food industries. They are known for owning the InterContinental hotel and the popular ice-cream parlour Brookly Creamery.
While Sania hails from a rich business family, her dreams are quite distinguished. She is the founder of the luxury pet spa, Mr. Paws. It is the first pet spa in India which offers treatments ranging from Korean Microbubbles therapy to CO2 Japanese hydrotherapy for dogs and cats in Mumbai.
According to the spa's website, they offer a wide range of services for the little furbabies, and they have two stores in Mumbai. Saaniya, who is the founder of the pet spa, always loved animals and has a deep connection with them. After finishing her education in business management from the London School of Economics, she returned back to India and started spreading her wings in the growing pet industry. She owns three pet dogs and understands the need for a furbaby, which is more than providing just food. Apart from her entrepreneurial vision, Saaniya is also certified as a Veterinary Technician. She has completed the ABC program from WVS.
