The promo has introduced the next wildcard without disclosing the identity of the person. But social media believes that it is none other than Apoorva Mukhija.
A new promo of Lock Upp 2 is currently going viral on social media. It shows a contestant appearing in handcuffs, and her face is not shown, except for her hands. While audiences have to wait for the next episode to see who the new contestant is, netizens have already started reacting, as they claimed that it is Apoorva Mukhija.
Although people were spotted expressing dissatisfaction with Apoorva’s entry into the show, others were excited as they believed that her participation was supposed to create new conflicts between the contestants. In case the social media buzz turns out to be true, Apoorva is expected to have a clash with two contestants. The reason is the content creator’s past with the two, and they are Shreya Kalra and Sufi Motiwala.
For the unversed, Shreya and Apoorva previously participated in another show on Netflix. The situation took a different turn after the show, as Shreya alleged on a podcast that Apoorva was not showing any interest in performing the tasks. However, Apoorva eventually dismissed the claims made by Shreya.
On the other hand, Apoorva and Sufi were contestants of the Amazon Prime Video reality series, The Traitors, which premiered in 2025. The duo formed a close friendship on the show. But they had a dispute once the show was over, with Sufi saying on Instagram that he had been texted by people alleging that he had taken “clout” from Apoorva and left her.
Sufi clarified that he and Apoorva never collaborated on a reel, and he did not appear on her YouTube on any occasion. Sufi also stated:
“I wanted to be friends with Apoorva not the revel kid where there was no accountability constantly for how I was being treated I distanced myself. I even requested her to ask her audience to calm down because they’ve been abusing me for no reason. Sadly, this person who called me her best friend has no concern for that, or the fact that maybe I’m hurt. THAT is why I’m not friends with her anymore.”
Apoorva Mukhija is an Indian content creator, actor, and social media personality known online as “The Rebel Kid.” She first gained attention for candid short-form videos and vlogs about daily life, relationships, and self-image.
Before creating content full-time, Mukhija worked in the IT sector. She later left her corporate job to focus on digital media. Over time, she collaborated with major brands including Amazon, Nike, and Kate Spade, and reports estimated her personal brand value at around Rs 41 crore. However, Apoorva later dismissed the claims.
In 2025, she entered mainstream entertainment. She appeared as a judge on Samay Raina’s comedy show India’s Got Latent. During an episode, comments made by the panel, including Mukhija, drew widespread criticism online. The remarks led to legal complaints, media coverage, and attention from the National Commission for Women.
Apoorva made her Bollywood debut by playing a role in Nadaaniyan, which marked the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan. She then joined the reality series, The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar.
