Ankita Lokhande celebrated her first Makar Sankranti after her wedding in a grand manner. She donned a black silk saree for the festival and adorned herself with jewellery made out of grains.
January 14 is the day celebrated across the nation with different names. However, the feeling of happiness and warmth remains the same. The happiness grows more on people when it is their first celebration with their partner, and TV actress Ankita Lokhande beamed with khushi as she celebrated her first Makar Sankranti after her wedding with Vicky Jain. Ever since her wedding, Ankita has been giving new bride vibes and her look for Makar Sankranti is sensational.
On December 30, 2021, Ankita Lokhande had shared a Boomerang on her IG stories, giving major modern bahu vibes. In the video, she could be seen wearing a red shirt dress with orange strips on it and had complemented her look with sindoor. As she had flipped her hair, while recording the video, we could spot her huge solitaire engagement ring. Sharing the video, she had added a ‘Hello’ sticker atop it.

In Marathi culture, Makar Sankranti holds a very important value and as a new bride, Ankita Lokhande ensured that her first one post-wedding is a grand one. Taking to her IG stories, Ankita reposted a series of pictures from her first Makar Sankranti celebration at her home. Ankita’s house was decorated with kites and flowers and the actress herself looked gorgeous too. For the celebrations, Ankita wore a black silk saree with a red and golden broad border. She completed her look with green bangles, mangalsutra and traditional jewellery made out of grains. Her broad circular patterned kamarbandh was too exquisite to be missed.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ankita Lokhande had talked about her first Makar Sankranti plans. Talking about the same, Ankita had said:
“In Marathi culture, Makar Sankranti is very important. It’s my first post marriage. So, it’s a big deal. My mum has already prepared and bought all the jewels made out of grains. There’s going to be a haldi and kumkum ceremony. The newlyweds are supposed to be in black outfits. I’m going to be all dolled up.”

For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain had tied the knot on December 14, 2021. For the wedding, she had donned a beautiful golden lehenga with uncut polki jewellery from the designer, Manish Malhotra. Her look was accentuated with her magnificent golden dupatta. On the other hand, Vicky had opted for a cream-coloured sherwani. She had shared a series of pictures from her lavish wedding on her IG handle with a caption:
''Love is patient but we’re not. Surprise! We’re now officially Mr & Mrs Jain!''
Ankita Lokhande had left jaws dropped when she had walked down the aisle in her golden-coloured bridal outfit with the Ganga aarti playing in the background. In her interview with the Hindustan Times, she had opened up about her wedding for the first time after tying the knot with businessman, Vicky Jain. Talking about her beautiful bridal entry, Ankita had said:
“You need to have goosebumps when you are getting married and I had goosebumps. Both of us walked without any drama. It was subtle and full of feelings. And I was just happy that I was getting married. I had fun at my wedding. It was beautiful. People were literally crying. Vicky was also crying when he saw me. And I’m happy that I did that to him. However, the minute I saw my dad crying, I started tearing up.”
